I seem to have a problem - when I'm looking around Wilmington, I very rarely spot anything worthwhile - usually nothing around or if I do spot something, she's rather frightening to behold. When I spot something worthwhile, I'm usually tied up in one way or another and unable to persue it.

Today was no exception. Around 11:00am, while on the job, I was driving down Market St. near the Kerr Ave. intersection & boom, there she was sashaying her way down the street looking in car windows over top of her sun glasses - an extremely probable WSW - skinny blond about 30ish, I'd rate her a 7+ from what I saw. Due the work situation, I wasn't able to confirm. I made my delivery, dumped the guy riding with me at the clients office (told him to take an early lunch) & was back in the area within a half hour, but she was gone!

I'll try this again - sorry if this winds up getting posted twice, my last attempt wound up with an "Invalid Thread" message after the attempted posting.

On Friday, the evening news reported the police busted 12 johns (in less than one hour!) for soliciting prostitution in Wilmington. The saturday paper (police blotter) said there were only 5 arrests - all 5 of the men listed were over 50 years old (significant?).

I don't think they actually stated where this "sting" happenned, but from previous reports on the news where they were busting prostitutes, it's probably somewhere in the area between 4th & 10th streets (east/west direction) and Greenfield & Dock (north/south direction). The paper stated "High prostitution areas in Wilmington include the area bounded by Third and Dawson to Third and Greenfield streets and from Fifth and Dawson to Fifth and Greenfield streets". I've cruised through that area (the area the paper listed is mostly included in the area I listed) on a number of different occassions during the day (usually between 10am & 2pm) and have never seen any definite SW's. This area's mostly residential & there are a couple of schools in the area, so, IMHO, it's not an ideal location for mongering, but if that's where the SW's choose to stroll, what's a monger to do? I've been waved at a couple times near the projects at 14th (?) & Greenfield, but only when I was unable to stop & chat, so no confirmation on employment status there. One thing of note, is that of the women who've been busted & had their pictures posted on the evening news, I can only say that there were one or two who I would ever consider having sex with - the rest are just too skanky.

The interesting thing about the news report on Friday was that they also reported on juvenile gangs of 10-15 kids attacking & beating the shit out of other kids walking home from the middle school near "the zone" mentioned above. Seems to me that our new Police Chief may have his priorities out of order. Why arrest some guy for trying to get laid, when you could be protecting little kids from getting their asses kicked?
