Has anyone here had any experience with the two private clubs along NC 17, near the SC line. One is called Close Encounters, a big club with purple neon lights and the other is I think called Playmates, which is set up like a house with a series of private rooms. There is no dancing at this club. They have a list of prices ranging from 20 minutes for $40 to a longer period of time for $150.

I didn't commit the prices at Close Encounters to memory because the girls there were fugly, but they have several types of services, including lap dancing and a jacuzzi room, where things get a bit more intimate. Everyone told me that things pick up in February when more golfers are around.

At Playmates, I bought 20 minutes and sat there while this cute little thing danced in front of me for a while. Kept telling me to get comfortable, and said that I could touch her, but she was too far away. She said that the more you tip, the better it gets but would not tell me what would be offered. I left after 5 minutes or so. Anyone have advice on what to offer and what might be available here?

Hi, this is my first post.

I can give you some info on Wilmington. I usually find something every time I go surfing, it seems to be all about timing. The area from Third and Castle to Third and Greenfield is where most of the girls hang out. Most of the girls hang out between Greenfield and Wooster in the Fifth and Sixth street blocks. You will have better chances between the hours of 11pm to 3am, and if your up early there are always girls in this area between 5am to 7am working. The last few girls I've met haven't had any digits, but I will try to get some numbers to share. You can also find girls occasionally on Dock street past between Tenth and Sevententh street and sometimes on Market street. Hope this info can be of some use.

I was at Osaka once back in December and had a good time. There have been a few reports on it in the "other area's" board for South Carolina. I posted my report about Osaka on that board. I don't remember exactly what the costs were (house fee + tip), but I'm pretty sure it was similar to the fees charged in Greensboro, back in the day when they had AMPs. Quite a bit more expensive than your standard SW, but IMHO, a far better and higher quality experience.

A little more info on Close Encounters is that it is a huge place with a very large dance floor and TV sets all around the perimeter showing whatever game is on. There actually is stage dancing there (I met the DJ) and I observed that the one girl I saw dancing was very friendly when she received a tip. Apparently, they import some Russian girls when things get busier and they do quite well. I asked what the girls make and was told by the owner that they get maybe $200 on a good night, which tells me that either they're not doing extras or he doesn't want to know about it.

The membership fee for this place is $10. The cover charge is $5, but they only charge the cover on weekends.

I haven't been to Playmates but the setup sounds a lot like places in Harker Heights, TX, outside Fort Hood. When she says, "Get comfortable," she means for you to take your d*** out or take your clothes off, or whatever you want to do to prepare yourself for "the time of your life" you THINK you're going to get. She'll shake her butt and slither around encouraging you to tip more and more to see or get more. When you run out of cash, she'll ask you to use the ATM nearby. (Oops, I guess I'm telling on myself.) Believe me, no matter how much you tip, you will not get much more than a peek at a boob. You'll be left holding your d*** and mad as hell. Pure ripoff! Be glad you left when you did.

I believe that Spaceman Spiff or somebody else wrote about Playmates a year or so ago on one of the South Carolina Boards - either the Myrtle Beach board or Other Areas board. As I recall, it's just a jack shack. I'm pretty sure it's owned by the same people who own Private Dancer on Market Street in Wilmington and another jack shack in Fayetteville (don't recall the name, but I was in there a couple of years ago and the girl told me about some of their other establishments).

In short, I doubt BJ or FS is available. I've never been inside Playmates, so don't have any first hand knowledge of this place. In general though, when a girl at one of these places tells you to "get comfortable" she's telling you to get naked. If she has half a brain, she won't make any physical contact until you are naked and then, she will more than likely ask you to place her hand where you'll allow her to touch you (this is a LEO check - allegedly, if you put her hand on your member and you turn out to be an undercover LEO who then busts her, that's entrapment).

Your post is the first report on Close Encounters I've ever heard. I always thought it was a strip club, but have never been down there when it was open. I am rarely in the area & then, usually only during daylight hours & I don't think they open until sometime in the evening.
