Not sure where best to put this, but I've just discovered TextNow is fingerprinting your device, meaning next time you re-download their app it will (a) show the user your prior login info, which is likely a username or email address you don't use elseewhere, and (b) will automatically LOG BACK INTO YOUR TEXTNOW ACCOUNT by just clicking the "yeah, log in" button. No, it is not asking for a password or any other info.

Further, if you log out and see the screen "forget the account xxxxx" then go to log in again it still shows your "username" (but doesn't remember your password). You have to tell it to forget you again delete the app re-download then you'll see it finally acts like a brand new install.

Basically I wipe my phone and download TextNow as needed. After not using it for about a month or two, I downloaded it today. The app's "data" was not saved to my phone, it doesn't back up to iCloud, and for overly nerdy electronic device reasons I am 100% sure the app is fingerprinting my device much like the old Whisper app used to do. So a fresh download / install, it still sees your device's fingerprint and knows your login name. Which is highly concerning. But even worse is just clicking the "yeah log in" button, and it fully logged me into the app. The messages I'd sent from PC in recent memory were there, as was a "your number is expiring" message.

Be careful out there guys. It's not paranoid to be paranoid, and re-check what these apps are remembering between your mongering activities.

Howdy everyone. I wanted to ask what people use as a cover story / alibi for their sex vacations?

Went to Thailand a few years ago and had a blast! Recently I am starting to get the itch again to go back. However now I am in a long term relationship with my girlfriend and we live together.

I don't know how I would explain a sudden 2+ week absence, I have a yearly 2 week business trip in the summer but I don't know if I could somehow make that into something longer.

Any advice / tips for go to excuses? Or other general tips? I am sure I would still need to check in like I normally would from my home time zone but nit sure what else I would need to do.

As I previously mentioned, I have been out of the hobby for a bit due to a relocation but not too long. But reading the boards recently I see many guys slamming providers who have No Review Policies, Required Deposits, various Screening Procedures, or Rates that are higher than their budget, etc.

It's really a simple fix. Don't contact a provider who clearly states policies you don't like. But at the same time, no need to hate and slam. Just move on to someone that meets your likes not only in looks etc, but also policies. Uncomfortable with deposits, move on. Uncomfortable with I'd screening, move on. Uncomfortable with No review policies, move on. Rates higher than you like (aka GPS) just move on. There are many providers out there to accommodate all of our comfort levels.

I too read reviews but they have never been my sole selection criteria for how and with whom I spent my money. I see providers with a wide range of varying policies. No reviews, deposits required, I'd requirements, etc. For each policy, I assume that she has a reason and accept it.

I have never had an issue with any of my choices, no theft, no show, excessive delays, stings, no not as advertised, but I do stay on platforms that screen the ladies before they are allowed to advertise. No free ad sites.

I do understand why some providers have stopped participating in reviews. A few cases in point.

I read a review by guy who right off the bat said he was into spinners. His review was on a BBW who he slammed for having too much around her waist. Hello that is what a BBW is. Now that provider has a negative review because he did not do his research ahead of time to select a provider that met his criteria.

The best one was a guy who said up front that he loved brunettes. His reviews were on a number of gorgeous blonds and you guessed it he ran each down for not being a brunette! I saw the ads and all of them had pictures as blonds! In some cases he was the providers' one negative review but it will follow the providers around as long as they still have reviews.

I disagree with most of what you said. One I slightly agree with is the pettiness on looks such as hair color and build. But there in again is a grey area. Some of these chicks use dated pics and at least in my area, heavily filtered pics. I'd be pissed and have been (walked out once) that I showed up and the Mountain dew and smoking added 5 years and 25 lbs. A lot of these chicks also won't send recent pics.

But, It's no different than the dating world. I cannot count on my fingers how many times I've matched on OKC / Tinder / Bumble / Boo and there are no body shots but but their profile says "athletic " "normal" and I get that full body shot and they are neither or I showed up to drinks and saw firsthand. I'd love to have left at least an appearance review. But some doods don't care anyway so you're worried about nothing. Like my old man used to say "There's a pole for every hole. "

Now, slamming invasive identifying procedures is necessary both two fold. It keeps working girls from trying to make it normal and it shows not as keen members and especially new members that it's not an industry norm and should not be or will be accepted as well. So these girls have everything on you, and you have just a username and hotel on them? Bullocks. In reality 99% aren't interested, smart, or good enough to pull off blackmail. Obviously married cats and high profilers obviously are much more susceptible and they are our brethren whether they should be fucking around or not, we must protect the flock. But really I don't care much because I ain't got shit to lose family / career wise. I was locked up for assault and my job didn't bat an eye.

Pricing? Slamming it and it's two fold as well. I try not to ***** about hot ass ladies that charge exorbitant prices, but that still doesn't free them from my criticism. We are seeing it my market. When there's an elite charging 6-1000 an hour, it causes a vacuum and the mids will try to fill which they ain't worth. And now you / we have a market imbalance (we have ladies that were $300 jumping up to $500 with no body mods / location / service upgrades to speak of) because while hot, some doods pay the elites, the mids then price themselves out and leave. Next up the street zombies move up to fill that void. And now mids wanting to join after the purge will price herself back in between a chick she knows she's not hot enough to compete with and a street barnacle continuing the imbalance. And this again keeps the not so often senior user who checks back in or a newbie that you don't have to pay that or there is better out there for what you have to spend. Ensuring a better experience for us all.

Lastly, this is a review board. Whether bad, good, or trivial it all needs to be catalogued.

Thanks for posting. I agree in spirit but have to point out you are likely targeting the wrong demo. If you only use paid ad sites (Tryst, TER, P411, etc.), of course you're going to have fewer problems in terms of fake ads, scam deposits, etc. It would be like posting, "Why do so many complain about car repair shop advertising, pricing, and other unethical practices? Just go to authorized dealers and use manufacturer authorized parts!" Fine for higher end vehicles but doesn't make sense for someone on a budget.

For those looking for newer talent and good value, alligator / Sumo / STG are still the place to go. A new hottie or fun MILF won't usually go to Tryst or TER.

Asking for ID is a provider's choice but a really bad idea to comply with. They likely won't delete the pics so you've just made it easier to potentially get busted or least questioned (queue awkward convo in front of family), or have your identity stolen. I would far more trust providers who screen using references or verification sites. I trust P411 far more than Amber who thinks saying "NO PO-PO" makes any difference.

Deposits are 99% scams. Please don't suggest they are legit practices. The 1% who are safe to pay deposits to are established, highly reviewed providers. Again, not this demo.

Same for sugar sites / potential meet and greets. Don't pay deposits. Offer to meet at place of their choosing near their location and pay for food / drinks. Even offer to give a gift card upon meeting in person but never pay digitally in advance. It's the wrong precedent to set for most mongers. Again, 99% of deposit requests are scams.

My point of all this is don't take a No Review Policy as a negative. If a provider tours regularly, advertises on multiple sites, meets you desired physical characteristics and provides what you are looking for, take the plunge! I think more providers are going to stop participating in reviews and I really don't blame them. Think about it. Would we want to read reviews of our own escapades in the hobby!

I don't hate on providers that have deposit requirements and or rates higher than I want to invest, various screening procedures. I accept or move on. Isn't there enough hate now days, why make an activity that is supposed to be fun, so negative? The jaded adversarial mentality only creates more of the same on both sides. Try to have fun again! Don't be a hater or spread hate, surprise the provider you contact with a new you. Find ladies that align with your criteria and have fun!

Have been out of the hobby for a bit and have recently been lurking on several boards. Everyone seems to be negative about rates, screening, deposits and pictures etc. I don't get it. If a provider posts a rate she thinks is appropriate that is her prerogative. If you don't want to pay that rate move on. If you go to the Chevy dealership and can only afford a Chevette don't test drive a Corvette and then complain about the price. Screening is for both our safety and I would not see a provider who did NOT screen! Again if a provider wants screening info and you don't want to provide it, move on. I think too many guys rant about these issues and then others pile on needlessly. Think back to when you got into the hobby and remember it is supposed to be all about fun! Happy hobbying!

There was no one up front and the 2nd door was already open. My RA called me fom the call and took me to the first room. Can anybody help talk me through the various issues and concerns with a video call for verification? I am based in a non-US city (just posting here because it's far more active) where it seems fairly common for escorts to request this and, apparently, for guys to agree. The girls say it's for safety and for comfort in deciding to see you, and they also say it's good for us guys to see that they are real as well. What are the pitfalls?

Since the beginning I've always refused this and moved onto the next (in the US) but after arriving to my international location and being tempted several times, I'm now considering breaking my rule. My fear is being recorded, and the recording being used to identify and / or blackmail me. However I'd imagine the chances of them being able to identify me are fairly slim since I don't think there's available access to a facial recognition database that I'm part of, and in any case I can keep the chat completely innocuous so there's plausible deniability that the video chat was just to meet someone online (I do chat with random people online routinely).

It seems the standard level of screening is 1 or 2 of:

-2 references.

-Selfie with Driver's License.

-Driver's License.

-Linkedin with work info + a decent amount of connections.

-Work Phone Number.

I've seen other screening options like Facetime or Google Duo but had a few questions:

1) What information can I blur out for my DL.

2) Am I allowed to blur out my eyes or part of my face for the picture verification?

3) When people say "light screening" what does that entail? If there is a spectrum of options, I'd love to know what options I have.

Question. I received a call from the "US Marshalls service", and the number also matched the us marshalls when I googled it. Most likely a spoofed caller I'd. They said I texted someone with me just saying 'hi when are you free.'

They asked me if I texted someone, saying that person was missing (and after I googled that persons name, I saw no mentions of a missing person).

They said I could either be arrested, or the family of the missing person wants me to take a psychological exam and pay $1,900 to prove I'm not a sex offender etc. They said I would need to pay over Zella, or I could go to an ATM and they would give me information to pay.

They then forwarded me to someone else, and he said he was some federal agent that had a wikipedia page (very high ranking one that Obama appointed). I asked him a question about his past that I saw from wikipedia, and he answered it wrongly. I then asked why was he trying to fraud people and make a scam, and he said okay we'll see you in court.

So this was all just a scam right? Anyone receive similar calls before?

What texting applications do y'all use other than TextNow? I'm seeing multiple texting / calling apps on the AppStore, but from recent reviews majority of them are saying that some of the messages don't always get sent to the recipient and that some of them have IAPs for additional minutes.

TextNow has been solid for me; just looking for another application just like.
