04/10: VNU conducted an undercover prostitution investigation on the South side of Oshkosh. During the course of the investigation officers arrested 7 adult males. Six of these individuals were arrested for Pandering. One male was arrested for Pandering, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On 09/13/2023 the Oshkosh Police Department's Vice and Narcotics Unit along with Detectives and Patrol Officers, conducted an undercover prostitution investigation on the North side of Oshkosh. During the course of the investigation officers arrested 10 adult males.

These ten males, ranging in age from 27-53 years old, were arrested for Pandering. Nine of these males were from the Fox Valley Area and one was from Beaver Dam. The Oshkosh Police Department works diligently to investigate crimes of this nature.

It's been open for several months. As soon as I saw it, I googled it. The fact that they have a website and no ads on StG convinced me they were legit. I should have given them a try a few months ago.

Detectives and Investigators made contact at the business and two female employees were detained and interviewed. Further investigation revealed potential evidence of Human Trafficking.

And, then you decide to set me straight by posting, ". Whether you want to believe this or not there are providers out there who are being trafficked. ".

I also did not make an assumption of what was going on in your head when you posted. I simply utilized what you provided in your actual post. Time to move on. I don't come to this board to start a beef, or argue. Please accept my apology if I my posts were offensive.

Since I did not answer that question, I will now. I know, definitely there was no trafficking in this case because there was not a single sex worker of any kind involved in this particular case. That is how I know. Then, you imply I might not be aware that trafficking exists which was obviously condescending and sarcastic by saying." but whether you want to believe this or not there are providers out there who are being trafficked. "

So, you weren't commenting on anything, but wanting to challenge my original assertion the headline was bogus. I merely pointed out your comment though directed specifically at me, did not in any way touch upon what I had written. Yes we all know trafficking occurs. Yes, most of us (hopefully much closer to all of us) are adamantly against that despicable practice.

Yes, in this particular instance there was no trafficking going on but whether you want to believe this or not there are providers out there who are being trafficked. If a woman doing this of her own free will, it's one thing but there are some who are literally slaves to their pimps. Regardless, trafficking and prostitution go hand in hand.

What a joke. The headline should call it what it actually is: 5 men arrested for solicitation.

"5 Arrested In Human Trafficking Bust. ".

Really? Nobody was trafficked. Nobody conspired to traffic. Local authorities set up a fake ad soliciting sex and arrested 5 guys who showed up.

Yes, in this particular instance there was no trafficking going on but whether you want to believe this or not there are providers out there who are being trafficked. If a woman doing this of her own free will, it's one thing but there are some who are literally slaves to their pimps. Regardless, trafficking and prostitution go hand in hand.
