You might have heard, there was a 2-person team that was running around in OC going into massage parlors and robbing both the parlor and the patrons. I am pretty sure they were caught, but you can understand why a parlor might be concerned and have a security guard.

The place is in a medical office park. I went on a weekend so the parking lot was pretty empty. The suite itself is on the side of the build facing the main unit. Angel Spa in Cathedral City is in an older section of town, but the spa is clean as is the room I was in and also the bathroom.
