CoveyL, simply go into Settings under your profile and select Hidden under the Search and Dashboard heading.

You can also hide your Online Status / Last Active Date, When You View Someone, and/or When You Favorite Someone under the Your Activity heading.

I am not sure why more people don't do what I do, hide my profile from search. That kills all of those overseas scammers / fakes from contacting you. Only profiles I have visited will ever know I exist. I have a SO, it's one of the ways I keep a little more UTR.

The most obvious fakes and scams are the robotic like responses to your inbox from the Philippines or China or where the fuck ever. And the girls are like model quality. Instant block. Some of the others you just almost have to develop a sense for. If you've ever played the escort scene or BP before it got shut down there were tons of snakes and fakes. Makes SA seem like a cake walk. Basically experience and gut instinct and follow your common sense. Don't let these girls BS you.

Just tried to get back on SA tonight and they're not accepting my amex 100 dollar gift card. Remember somebody saying SA was not accepting their 100 dollar gift card either and had to go buy a 200 dollar one. Going out to buy a 200 dollar one in a bit to see if that works. Hope this isn't becoming a trend with SA.

You need to register the card online first at the cards site. Wait like half an hour and try it again. Happened to me and worked afterward.

I'm curious if any of you have any telltale signs that make you automatically assume a profile is fake? I mean beyond the obvious posting clearly fake pictures or stating you need to prove you are real.

I'm not sure if this is legit, but when I see a profile mention that they are enrolled in "university" I associate that phrasing with someone outside of the US and likely fake.

I have yet to see one that requires you enter real info. I always put a fake address and number when registering a card. The ones from target only require a zipcode.

You can always use a UPS store address, as if you really had a business address or mailbox there. That's worked for me.

I have never had a problem with a one vanilla prepaid visa, and you don't have to register, make up any name you want on SA. I get one for $90 and toss the 5 cents left away after they charge you. To prevent them from charging month after month, go into your profile and you can disable that after you have your membership paid.

I get the cards at CVS but I think walmart has them also.
