Damn I think I know how he feels I felt like that before he just got to get over it not easy but just got to remember who you are and understand that was not ment for you and focus on something else that makes you happy or it will make you crazy especially if you are on drugs thinking it will help but it will make it worse my advice to him if he is reading this forget about it get some exercise that always help and remember you don't need that kind of girl anyway they are just hoes and stay positive.

That's a possibility, I don't really know either. I bet if had young Chinese providers like Nana, Doris, Yuri, etc living in these monster homes, some guys might not mind these types of houses in their area.

I see it a lot where a few friends live by Kamehameha Schools, it is insane. I use to joke with a good friend / MT who retired and now does so much RE on the outer islands and diff. Been down this road as part of that crazy stressful group that planned and presented the numbers with scientific specifics to both the mayor's and Gov's cronies. Yes, it will take time and even we do not know about the vaccine (s) effectiveness or the C19 ability to mutate to stay alive and modify to survive. The Chinese and Korean investors are very aggressive and offering 3, 5, to 15% over val. I know of 2 other ohanas that did take the $$$ and run away from Hawaii and enjoy life. The Paradise as we grew up with is ever-changing. By the way, our presentation to the Mayor and Gov of course got shot down because of their agendas. Hoping Rick moves our Oahu in a positive direction from here, now cannot wait for the Gov. To finally go away. Hold on tight, 2021 going be another insane ride.

Yes, its truly unfortunate as I was born at Tripler and raised on the westside. I still remember working at Liberty House, Shirokiya (Pearl Ridge Shopping Ctr), CompUSA on Ala Moana Blvd back in the day, and many of the local kine restaurants back in the day as well but all gone!

In the past 10 years the economy has really gotten worse and even local kine teachers and police officers taking jobs in the mainland cause pay is 50-75% more. SAD.

But, right now the economy has gotten worse in the State of Hawaii due to CV. It will get worse since many renters or homeowners who've lost there jobs due to CV, and shutting retail, restaurants, personal services close. Well, the landlords got to still pay property tax and etc and city and county ain't NO help.

Now, here comes the people with $ the Chinese. Just like the Japanese did in early 80's bought up everything and well that didn't work out cause they're economy took a dump.

The present economy in all the islands is unstable and if you're a kupuna and maybe have less then 10 years to live it easy decision to sell now and not have to worry about the bills. When you can get a nice payday by selling a retail biz, commercial property and apt complex and even a home?

I know several who've already sold apts and commercial properties due to the above that are in the 70's.

Pretty soon Kaka"ako will have more high rise than downtown Honolulu? There are more high rise buildings that are going to be built in the next 4-5 years that are in the planning process right now.
