To receive better service, in my opinion it's preferable to avoid using a word that could potentially irritate the person performing the service. So, if I need to use any descriptive term at all in conversation with a woman in that occupation, I generally use a term like provider, professional or businesswoman. If we already know each other well and she's not the sensitive type, I may sometimes use the term working girl, but never "prostitute".
Another word that is seldom used is harlot, it's not as harsh as prostitute or *****.
Because of what I do I jokenly call myself a prostitute as defind as a person that uses his or her talent and skills for monetary gain. In other words we are all prostitutes to live in this society.

That was a like great line that Robert Deniro said in the movie Analyze This. Boss Paul Vitti: Hey, that's the mouth she kisses my kids goodnight with! What are you, crazy?

There was a discussion about that once upon a time. For example, a guy who no longer gets the CIM BJs he craves because she kisses the children with that mouth; or she's had the children she wanted and no longer wants to give him nookie; or she's simply not interested in sex and gets irritated at the prospect.
What's a guy to do; he can't force her, but those needs aren't going away and have to be satisfied.

One thing that I've noticed is all the same though is that they all are looking for someone to connect with one way or another. Regardless if it's for an hr or for a lifetime we are all looking to connect.
Well said. Great view on life.

This is where the weekly meeting is? My notice always gets lost in the mail. I think it's a conspiracy by my bible thumping mail man.

Yup. It's not like we actually address the girl with the P word. Somehow this got twisted into name-calling; that's not what was happening.

I once got scolded by an Korean AMP provider even when I used the term "working girl" to describe her coworkers. I think the KAMP girls don't like to refer to themselves as prostitutes as a psychological self protection thing. One time I went drinking with a K provider and she got drunk enough to get emotional and began talking about her depressing life. Started saying that she was a prostitute (she knew of the word) and had no skills or education for anything better. So maybe for KAMP girls, being labeled as a prostitute might denote being at the bottom of their life with no other options and also at the bottom of society as a woman. Which might explain their aversion to being called a prostitute.
