Lately I've been receiving a lot of one word texts from SWs that I've seen before (and some that I haven't) just saying "Hey". So what does that mean?

1) I want your money and I'll tolerate you fucking me to get it?

2) I'm too fucking lazy and illiterate to form a real message so "Hey"?

3) I'm available now, but might not be in 5 minutes so come get it before I pass out?

4) I'm thinking fondly of you and want to let you know without disrupting your day or being a demanding pain in the ass?

5) My (dope boy, landlord, pimp, etc. - you pick one) is here for his money. I don't have it but I need it so "Hey" show me the money?

Sometimes I feel like such a novice at this hobby.

I get a "Hay wats up" from a regular. If I reply then I get, wanna pick me up or wanna see me. Short sweet and to he point.

Can you give out some info on the provider so we can avoid her of it really is a sting? LE May be cutting a deal with her to let her off.

I just got a text from an old UTR I met a few times over a year ago. Just out of the blue it seemed. Was of course wanting to meet up and all but was also asking me if I could maybe set her up with a few nicer mature gentlemen from here as well. At first everything seemed as it should be but the more we chatted I just got a strange vibe about it all. This just also happened to be one of the same evenings as the stings were occuring. Maybe I was paranoid, maybe not but something just seemed off about the whole situation. I almost went for a visit anyhow just to see what she was up to but after seeing the news report I may have dodged a bullet. I can't honestly say yes or no on that and part of me is kicking myself but another part of me is saying "whew".

So after reading the post above I'm now wondering if someone is playing games with the local mongers trying to shut a portion down or what. I know for a fact that I was at least for a time a POI with Moraine / Kettering due to the one situation with a well known and very popular provider there. I didn't know why until the indictments came down and saw the names. I'm sure most of you can put 2 and 2 together. But how I came up was because of not only that but another well known provider got locked out of her Moraine notel after my visit and LEO showed up there. Thought I was her pimp. Thus gets me back on track to what I was originally posting. This former aquaintance all of a sudden wants me to help her find new gents. Maybe a coincidence or maybe I was being targeted. So what do you fellow Mongers think? Am I paranoid or lucky? I will note the afore mentioned UTR is or was a dancer at a strip club of questionable fame lately. Never advertised on BP or CL at all. A real doll too. LOL.

So what do you guys think?

I would take it to mean "LEO has gotten my phone and wants you to respond and possibly slip up".

I assume it could mean all of those things at different points in time.

(Some more than others) But I must admit I have been guilty of sending a female friend the "hey" message.

But it's mainly reason #4.

I started to write this post in the ESCORT section but quickly realized that A2 would probably throw me a RED FLAG so I changed to the STUPID SHIT section. This is meant to be a helpful post and elicit comments from members, and not a DIG at the board management.

Most guys realize that achieving Senior Status brings with it several privileges not the least of which is the ability to have your post go up without prior review of the moderator. Of course ALL posts are subject to moderator discretion and that is what keeps the board quality high. In addition, Senior Status does help with a provider's screening since she sees your tenure.

HOWEVER. Posts, like a recent one, that state "I had a great time. Not going to tell you who it was or anything else so don't PM me" (paraphrased) does no good for anyone except to UP your posting count by 1. I looked back at all of the prior posts of this contributor and found most of them had about the same level of valuable information. So timeline tenure and contributions were steady, earning status, but could have easily been made up reading other guys posts and rephrasing them over a period of months.

I would hope that there could be some threshold that qualifies a member for "senior points. " I know A2 works hard on this but the value of the senior badge for members who actually post useful information and provide real assistance to members is watered down. We all tend to post minimalist posting once in a while (monger banter,) but most senior members do have either a very long timeline of posts (years) and provide substantial information the least of which is to identify the provider. Some of us try to keep the torrid details off the main boards to help these ladies fly low.

Before I even started dipping into the "provider" scene, I lost count at around 275 in the "civilian" scene. I'm glad to say I get way more free pussy than that I pay for. I'd say this is more like a side job than a regular job. I more in it for the thrill I guess most times and maybe that's why I'm a pretty tough critic when I see some of these ladies that some RAVE about and when I meet them I'm usually disappointed except for a few exceptions. UTR radar brooke when she first began is one of the decent ones but I've yet to find a provider that's been better than the best free chicks I've picked up from a bar or simply met in person. Maybe when I get older my standards will drop, lmao.

I finally got over her and there you go bringing up UTR Brooke. I was her first client and still have fond memories and always will.

I lost count years ago when my total was somewhere in the 20's. I've got to be closing in on 50 by now. Hell, I might have even passed it already. Not tooting my own horn, but I think that's a pretty impressive number taking the fact that I didn't become a monger until 2008 into consideration. I'd say that's at least 8 times the pussy that that an average guy like me will get in his lifetime without choosing to be a monger.

Or does it seem like reviews on this site are going down? Seems like we have a lot of "Anyone ever see this person" type conversations but reviews on providers are getting fewer and fewer. Seems even more crazy since the classified ads are full with people now. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems that way to me.

Absolutely, when I first started in 2012 the Dayton board was hopping, pics of new UTRs appeared weekly. Now things seem slow on boards across the nation. Maybe guys have lost their enthusiasm. Maybe fewer good providers as the economy strengthens. Plus you have the sugar baby sites siphoning off some of the guys. Hard to out a finger on it.

I'll say that it's been a long time I've been in the hobby. My first SW experience was around 1985, while I was in college. MY first strip joint back-room fun was around 1983. I've mongered in several states. Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New York, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arizona, California, Colorado, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Iowa. And done the strip club scene in all of these states, too. As a monger, I'd say that on average, I probably averaged a session a week for several years, spent a several years outside the hobby entirely, and probably had a one-a-month hobby for 10 years or so. If I had to guess, and if I broke it all down, I'd give it this estimate:

SWs: 600.

BP / CL Providers: 150.

Backroom fun: 40.

Take-out: 20.

Damn. There were more than I thought I'd had. A lot more. And when I start thinking about how expensive that hobby was (say 30 a pop on SW, 100 on BP / CLers, 150 in the backroom, and 100 for take-out), it adds up. Wow.

Then add in the hotel rooms, the gas I've burned curb-crawling, the dancer tips, in some cases the airfare to go "destination-mongering". I'm probably into the hobby for 60-70 K.

You don't know me. So this may not mean anything to anyone reading this, but thanks for asking the question, making me think about the answer, and thanks for reading.

I definitely think your observation is correct.

I, personally, have been on hiatus for many of the same reasons Mongenator mentioned. Yes, there are more girls advertising in the classified section but with all that is going on out there right now, I've come to the conclusion that taking matters into my own hands is a much safer option, for a variety of reasons, the least of which is what do you do if your SP od's on you. I'll pass on all of that.

For me, at this time, the risk is outweighing the rewards.
