Posts: 419Copper Toxicity Theory of ED
There is a theory that age related erectile dysfunction and prostate swelling are caused by an accumulation of excessive amounts of the mineral copper in the body. Since minerals compete with one another for absorption and retention, this excess copper causes a deficiency of zinc, molybdenum and manganese. The excess copper causes estrogen levels to rise and testosterone levels to fall. If this is true then the solution would be to reduce copper levels.
The first thing to do would be to reduce copper intake. Vegetarian diets tend to be high in copper and low in zinc, depending on the food. Meat tends to be low in copper except for organ meats. However, meat tends to be low in molybdenum and manganese, which also compete with copper. The ideal ratio of zinc to copper in food is about 7:1. For copper reduction purposes it would be beneficial to have a zinc to copper ratio closer to 10:1. Mineral content of foods can be found online. I like to set the serving size to 100 grams so I can compare different foods. For example, the following link shows the nutritional content of dark chocolate:
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/sweets/10638/2
100 grams of dark chocolate contain 3.3 mg zinc, 1.8 mg copper and 1.9 mg manganese. The zinc to copper ratio is less than 2:1 and the total copper amount is large. Molybdenum content is not reported.
High copper foods include chocolate, nuts, seeds (except pumpkin seeds), beans and organ meats. Beef liver is particularly high in copper.
Another source of copper intake is from tap water. When water sits in copper pipes some copper is absorbed by the water. It is best to let the tap run until the water turns cold before drinking it or cooking with it. Multivitamins often contain copper.
The next step would be to increase consumption of minerals that are copper antagonists, namely zinc, molybdenum and manganese. Red meat is high in zinc and low in copper, but has only negligible amounts of molybdenum and manganese. It is also low in magnesium, another mineral which tends to be deficient in the north american diet. Based on my review of various foods I find that the best food source of molybdenum, manganese and magnesium is whole grain. It also has moderate amounts of zinc and reasonably low copper levels. The following link shows the nutritional content of rolled oats:
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/...cereals/1597/2
100 grams of rolled oats contain 3.6 mg zinc, 0.4 mg copper, 3.6 mg manganese and 138 mg magnesium. On another web site I found that oats are also high in molybdenum. The zinc to copper ratio is 9:1. Other grains have similar profiles but are not as good as oats. White (processed) grains have most of the good minerals removed. The macrobiotic diet is based on whole grains. Maybe this is why.
This theory may explain why some men obtain good results from taking zinc supplements, since it would reduce copper. However, it may take a long time to restore the proper zinc to copper ratio in the body, so don't expect immediate results. Also, this approach typically neglects manganese and molybdenum, which should also be supplemented.

"in order to produce a spontaneous, harder and longer erection you must produce more prostaglandin e1 in your penile tissues and by taking daily.
3000 mg fish oil.
3000 mg borage oil.
1500 mg l-arginine.
Will boost the prostaglandin e1 synethisis and help you gradually rejuvenate his neuro-endocrine function and to excite your noergic / oxytonergic nervous system for health and sex.
Try this out for a month and see if you notice any improvements. Let us know how you get on.
I have been taking the above prostaglandin e1 therapy for many months now and it is helping my semen production, refractory time, erection power and stamina also you should notice more spontaneous erections".

"fish oil lowers pge-2 and borage oil increases pge-1. I'm currently taking 3 g of each and it works very well for me. However from 2 g onwards I started feeling the effects".
"I take Carlsons Fish OIl 1000 mg 3 x day and natures way borage oil 1300 3 x day. Since I started taking them I got wet dreams and got better and longer lasting morning erections".

Check the label and look at the amount of EPA and DHA contained in each capsule.
2 of the most potent fish oil capsules are:
Prescription Lovaza (or generic equivalent) EPA 465 mg and DHA 375 mg per 1000 mg capsule.
Kirkland / Costco Fish Oil EPA 410 mg and DHA 274 mg per 1200 mg capsule.
If your fish oil does not list EPA and DHA amounts on the label, then there is probably not a measurable amount of either one.

"I just thought I'd share something that completely SOLVED an ED problem I previously had. First off, I'm 53. Around the time I turned 50, I noticed I needed a lot more sexual stimulation from my wife, before getting very firm. A bit of background: my job had me at a desk all day long, and I'd really neglected my exercise. I did notice that whenever I exercised consistently my libido somewhat improved, as slightly did my erection ability, HOWEVER, the inconsistency of firmness remained obvious. Anyway, I happened to begin taking FISH OIL supplements (I take four 1,000 mgs per day) and relatively quickly. WHAMO. I'm BACK BABY! I started noticing sensation in my penis during the day and waking up with the "tent pole. " Now, instead of struggling to a flimsy erection with help, I'm back to being "Banana Bob," with just a glimpse of my wife's beautiful breasts, my penis is curving back and pointing up just like when I was much younger. Now I can be dozing on the couch and wake up with a ferocious erection, which is amazing. I read that fish oil and essential fatty acids can be very important to sexual function. Wow, so I was deficient in EFAs, and the fish oil absolutely restored me".
"The fish oil I take is enteric-coated capsules (prevents burping fish breath. You never taste or smell it). They never bothered my stomach whatsoever. Results began within a week of beginning them".

I chose 1000 mg gelatin capsules of cold-pressed Flax seed oil, dosing once a day. The past three times that I've indulged in sex with my wife, I noticed that I was HARD. Hard in a way that I have not experienced in, apparently, quite a number of years. These woods were profoundly and noticably different than my lately "normal" erections, being absolutely rigid during sex and orgasm, and even remaining hard for minutes afterward".

I have tried the niacin for other issues and never noticed any improved EQ but I will revisit this with an increased dosage.
Good experimenting.

I don't know the Mexican laws re the purchase of prescription drugs such as Viagra or Azithromycin, or the US Customs policy at the Mexican border. I'm sure the rules are more relaxed than those for controlled medications.
While technically it is illegal to import prescription drugs to the US, US Customs is allowing up to a 90-day supply of non-controlled drugs for personal use from on-line pharmacies.

I've been messing with every supplement under the sun for about 10 years now, for better health in general and libido and erections. 100's. And I'll tell you what I found, by finding and using the few supplements you're nutritionally deficient in, your erections will be 100 x better than taking all the libido enhancers out there (horny goat weed, maca, etc.) but not correcting these nutritional deficiencies.
1. Ionic Magnesium. This must be the liquid magnesium. Why magnesium? Well people are hugely deficient in it, it is responsible for other 900+ enzymes in your body, one of them being converting GLA to PGE1, which is needed for erections (the injectable ED drug was pure PGE1 called Alprostadil).
2. Sea Kelp. This is for iodine. And with mine and my other friends experiences, sea kelp works wonders for really hard erections and stronger orgasms. (Stronger orgasms for women too). Iodine is extremely important for erections, believe me. But take it via sea kelp, as you can easily go over board other ways.
3. L-carnitine. Now DO NOT get Acetyl l Carnitine. Get either L Carnitine L Tartrate or L Carnitine L Fumarate. The latter 2 are more for the body, the former crosses the BBB too easily and will make you stressed, angry, or headache. L Carnitine L Tartrate has been proven in scientific studies to be better than testosterone injections for ED, and increasing androgen receptors in your body (more receptors allows more testosterone to latch onto).
4. Vitamin C. You might think I'm crazy for suggesting this, but it works really well. Start taking 2 g of vitamin C before sex and you will be amazed how powerful this out of fashion vitamin is. It is a very powerful Nitric Oxide enhancer.
5. Evening Primrose Oil. This has GLA in it, which converts to PGE1. Once you start taking ionic magnesium as well, you will be converting more of this GLA to PGE1 regularly. Also EPO may lower your prolactin, but we take it mainly for the GLA. Take 1-3 g a day.
This formula is probably going to cost you $10 a month or less if you took these supplements everyday.

Would you get caught? Probably not, but that doesn't make it legal!

Posts: 1019You Can Buy Most ED Meds in Europe
I was able to hook up with a supplier from the ISG forum. He only ships to Europe and sells the generic brands of the ED meds. That's OK, because I make fairly frequent visits to a major European city for work. I simply make the transaction here in the USA and have the package shipped to my hotel, so it's waiting there for me when I arrive.
For the record, I'm 61, fit, and a non-smoker. The plumbing is affected by Peyronie's, so my erection these days has a nearly 90-degree turn upwards. My doc says they now think it's caused by hardening of the same tissue that's in the palm of your hand at the base of your thumb. If you have spasms there, you may be at a higher risk of Peyronie's. They are backing off the injury theory as the main cause. Fortunately, it still functions as good as ever, except I'm a one-pop guy these days.
OK, that was tangential. I've found that 50 mg of Viagra works best for me. I could only buy the 100 mg pills. I used a couple of full dose pills and, based on advice from another monger, I tried 50 mg by using a pill cutter to cut the pills in half. The effects were the same and I've doubled the shelf life of my supply. I've also used the generic Levitra with the same results. My side effects are predictable and manageable. I also bought some generic Cialis. I've tried 1-2 of the 20 mg pills, but the side effects for me were much worse. (I haven't tried cutting one of them in half yet.) So, I'm going to stick with the Viagra or Levitra and hope they will last until my next Europe trip in January. About the only difference for me between Viagra and Levitra is that I sometimes lose sensitivity with Viagra. I've never had a problem consummating the relationship with Levitra. But, I get a lot harder with Viagra than with any of the others.
I've found that the pills work best on an empty stomach and when I've not had alcohol. I'm a light drinker (wine only) anyway. I figure that, if I'm going to invest a chunk of change in a lady's time, I want to maximize my return on investment.
I guess I'm lucky in this regard that I have the opportunity to travel to a place where the products are either available OTC or casual sale is tolerated, and, as a result, I've been able to try all three of the major ED meds. . You can also buy pills and the Viagra gel at most London sex shops and at many of the FKK brothels in Germany and Austria. I've never traveled to Asia or Central America, so I can't comment on availability at those locations. I've also head that you can get a legal prescription at clinics in Mexican border towns, buy a supply in Mexico, and legally import them back to the USA Customs complains and may hassle you, but the prescription is legal.
