What people seem to forget is to include is pertinent info like which operating system and browser (including the version) the're having problems with.
Since this doesn't appear to be a site-wide issue or something every member is experiencing, it would indicate it's your browser. If you have another browser, try it and see if the issue disappears. Every issue I have seen like this and related to log-in problems is cookie related. I have seen on IE 8 and 9 where clearing the temp. Internet files fixed an issue. Manually delete all the cookies for this site and see if it clears your problem.

When I use the login page you get when the site thinks you're trying to post without permission, I can log in AND get the site to "remember" me by checking the "Remember me" box below the login dialog boxes.

I've been experiencing a problem similar to the one reported here. I will log in, the site will flash the login message, asking me to wait while it sends me back to the main page, then the main page comes up, but I'm not shown as being logged in. If I were to guess, I'd guess that there is a possible problem in the site software not properly handing the authentication between the login page and the main part of the site. Any thought from Jackson?

The Firefox issue was a cookie problem. My auto cookie-clearing software didn't do the job that a manual look into the cookie jar took care care of.
I'm still working on the IE thing.

If you're not Windows savvy, skip this request for tech help.
But the problem only seems to happen on this site.
Using Firefox, the browser never connects. Bring up the Task Manager and the Mem Usage for Firefox only increases. No other tabs will connect while the browser is doing this. Ending the process stops the problem, I can re-open and browse elsewhere.
If I try IE8. 0, I reach a login screen, I enter my user name and pw, get the message I'm logged in, then am immediately logged out.
If I use my iPad, no problems at all. So I'm kinda like WTF is wrong?
I had a techie on remote all yesterday afternoon doing scans, cleaning, and tuning up my system and all that has made no difference. Same problem today.
I'm fuckin' clueless at this point. Any suggestion? Did the "warden" sneak a Sex Guide" condom on my pc?
Thanks in advance.

The invalid email address may be your problem. I've seen that happen before. If you can log in, go to the settings link at the top of the page and edit your email address to a valid one it may fix your problem.
Another similar issue I've seen was cookie related. After you've changed the email address you may want to manually delete the cookies for this site and see if that resolves the issue.

You can only edit or delete your own posts for up to one hour after it is posted. After that, you have to request that the post (s) be removed. I've use the "Delete my post" option under the "Report a post" link numerous times and nothing happened.
You may try sending the admin a message on the link below. Good luck with that one, too. I've used that before and nothing happens.

You're not doing anything wrong. You're just not getting the assistance from the admin as requested.

Posts: 230One thread will not open
I am having trouble all of a sudden. I have tried with 2 different computers (windows Vista & 7) at two different locations and 3 browsers, all to no avail.
On the northwest Indiana forum, Backpage advertisers thread. If I try to open the thread by any means I get a blank screen and the Firefox window says something like: PHP Showthread GIF...... This has been doing this for months. Everything else works fine.
I can view the pictures in "Backpage Advertisers" and if I click on a user / poster in any other thread, go to their "Posts", it will open their threads posted on Backpage advertisers, but not the page it's self.
I hope I made my problem clear. Thank you, Nels

Could log in but not post
I created this account for help. I have an account (have had it for quite a while) where I can log in, but when I try to post, the page behaves as if I need to log in. If I do, I wind up in circular logins. Maybe because the email address for my original account is gone?

I mainly use Google Chrome with an Ad Blocker and got a lot of dead pic links and IE 9 was totally dead. I log out and when I logged back in it fixed the problem. I've noticed when they make software changes refreshing your cookies for this site will fix a lot of your user settings problems.

When I pull up the pic gallery it only shows one row of pictures and it is pushed to the far right of the page underneath the banner ad. Also, the page numbers on the bottome and top of the pages are gone.
Didn't intentionally change any settings.
Any suggestions to get the gallery the back the way it was?
