Don't overlook coconut or olive oil. If it doesn't work out you can always toss a salad.

For silicone, maybe. TPE is more like other rubber such as latex, which is not compatible with oil. And I found out that TPE is rather porous. The black activated charcoal stick to it like paint, whereas for most other smooth surfaces it just rinses off. And then there is the terrible cleanup. It gets into your hands and then everything near you. It's a thick oil so you have to apply dishwashing liquid a few times just to get it off your hands.
