The USA Government has reason to believe that several researchers inside the WIV became sick in autumn 2019, before the first identified case of the outbreak, with symptoms consistent with both COVID-19 and common seasonal illnesses. This raises questions about the credibility of WIV senior researcher Shi Zhengli's public claim that there was "zero infection" among the WIV's staff and students of SARS-CoV-2 or SARS-related viruses.

Accidental infections in labs have caused several previous virus outbreaks in China and elsewhere, including a 2004 SARS outbreak in Beijing that infected nine people, killing one.

The CCP has prevented independent journalists, investigators, and global health authorities from interviewing researchers at the WIV, including those who were ill in the fall of 2019. Any credible inquiry into the origin of the virus must include interviews with these researchers and a full accounting of their previously unreported illness.

2. Research at the WIV:

Starting in at least 2016 and with no indication of a stop prior to the COVID-19 outbreak WIV researchers conducted experiments involving RaTG13, the bat coronavirus identified by the WIV in January 2020 as its closest sample to SARS-CoV-2 (96.2% similar). The WIV became a focal point for international coronavirus research after the 2003 SARS outbreak and has since studied animals including mice, bats, and pangolins.

The WIV has a published record of conducting "gain-of-function" research to engineer chimeric viruses. But the WIV has not been transparent or consistent about its record of studying viruses most similar to the COVID-19 virus, including "RaTG13," which it sampled from a cave in Yunnan Province in 2013 after several miners died of SARS-like illness.

WHO investigators must have access to the records of the WIV's work on bat and other coronaviruses before the COVID-19 outbreak. As part of a thorough inquiry, they must have a full accounting of why the WIV altered and then removed online records of its work with RaTG13 and other viruses.

3. Secret military activity at the WIV:

Secrecy and non-disclosure are standard practice for Beijing. For many years the United States has publicly raised concerns about China's past biological weapons work, which Beijing has neither documented nor demonstrably eliminated, despite its clear obligations under the Biological Weapons Convention.

Despite the WIV presenting itself as a civilian institution, the United States has determined that the WIV has collaborated on publications and secret projects with China's military. The WIV has engaged in classified research, including laboratory animal experiments, on behalf of the Chinese military since at least 2017.

The United States and other donors who funded or collaborated on civilian research at the WIV have a right and obligation to determine whether any of our research funding was diverted to secret Chinese military projects at the WIV.

Today's revelations just scratch the surface of what is still hidden about COVID-19's origin in China. Any credible investigation into the origin of COVID-19 demands complete, transparent access to the research labs in Wuhan, including their facilities, samples, personnel, and records.

As the world continues to battle this pandemic and as WHO investigators begin their work, after more than a year of delays the virus's origin remains uncertain. The United States will continue to do everything it can to support a credible and thorough investigation, including by continuing to demand transparency on the part of Chinese authorities.

Well that comment on bankruptcies turned out to be quite prophetic. With Silicon Valley Bank leading the way we now have a banking failure that has spread and is still not defined. Frustrating that the failure mechanism is the same for all and could be identified and better managed by a Sophomore Finance major. They all were holding long dated paper (T bills, bonds, etc) that was becoming less valuable with each rate hike by the Federal reserve. When finally forced to sell this paper they did so at a huge loss. I sold every single share of a bond FUND I held in Jan 2022. Not rocket science. Rates were headed up. I had to sit on the cash for around 10 months before I started buying short dated Treasury Coupons (3 or 6 months) that recently got up to around 5%. Wish I had more cash.

So the frustrating part is all my bank stocks and financial ETF's have gotten clobbered while the offending banks are all going to be bailed out. All this why the C level guys make 3-10 million per year for twiddling their thumbs. Hope Congress moves swiftly to make those responsible pay every dime of their multimillion dollar bonuses back to the taxpayer that is funding yet another bailout. Ok. Let's assume that we're 100% positive that Covid came from a Chinese lab leak. What do you propose we do about it? Start a war? Crash our economy by sanctioning the Chinese with embargos? We can take steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. Of course, it wasn't supposed to happen this time, but what appears very likely is that the US ban on gain of function research was end-run, and this was not all China's responsibility. China certainly didn't help with their cover-up, their failure to come forward promptly when the first Covid cases appeared, and their allowing people to travel from China to all over the world even after they were aware of the problem. There are limited things we can do about that, short of war, to impact and deter China from such actions in the future. But it also sure looks like the WIV was aided with US funding as well, and this is something we can do a lot about.

We withdraw our funding for those labs and put Fauci in jail for working with them on gain of use function in direct violation of US Laws.

Of course it means nothing to you, you're a serial denier of the facts. It means that just like the Lancet commission (the publication that originally published the "Natural Origins" fraud), except whose chairman said it was "almost certainly" a lab leak, they concluded that Covid was the result of a lab leak, and not natural origins. I also left out the medium confidence with which the FBI had the same finding. So what?

More than half of Americans have woken up now, and no longer believe Covid was from "natural origins" at all. Since that time, the numbers cited gave the German Health Ministry enough concern that they launched their own study, and found a reporting rate of 1 for every 5000 shots. So now, in addition to the FBI, we have the Dept. Of Energy concluding that the virus came from a lab in China. In support of the above, if COVID came from "natural origins" why can no one find the natural origin 3 years later? Over 80,000 species have been tested and guess what, no natural origin has been found, leaving us with only one other possibility for the origins of COVID, Lab Leak. Any one who thinks otherwise is ignoring the facts. With only two possible means of origination and one has been effectively excluded, we are left with the other one. It's that simple.

Since that time, the numbers cited gave the German Health Ministry enough concern that they launched their own study, and found a reporting rate of 1 for every 5000 shots. This rate is terrifying enough considering the hundreds of millions vaccinated, but it is well accepted that the systems severely underreport adverse events.

I think there's a clear pattern here, and by now, one might have hoped that you would have learned to expand your horizons a bit and enlighten yourself. Alas, some people are hopeless and need to be told what to think.

So now, in addition to the FBI, we have the Dept. Of Energy concluding that the virus came from a lab in China. Certain fools on here cried "conspiracy" when I pointed out a year ago that the lab origins were obvious from the start. We all should be angry about the lies and censorship that took place in order to try and cover this up, but those who actually swallowed the BS, and participated in these attempts to cover up and censor the truth should be especially angry that they were exposed as being unable to think for themselves, and used as tools for the administration to further their deceit. This is certainly the largest human rights abuse in our lifetimes, and those who were complicit through their participation are just as responsible as those who Fausted / Faucied (sic) it on us.
