The false part is what got you the charges. A discussion had to occur about services to establish intent. Taking the money is what sealed the deal. Almost surely, audio and video are part of this case.

If anyone is charged, I highly recommend that you go to a BY THE HOUR attorney. By the charge attorneys will leave you saying hello to Bubba when the number of hours exceeds their capabilities and what they expected. Better yet, go hire a QUALIFIED attorney beforehand. Read BY THE HOUR. Have this person explain the particulars of these cases. They are very simple. Remain within the lines of the law. These lines bend and stretch greatly. But break them and get caught, and you will pay your debt to society.

Last summer a provider claimed a detective had full sex with her.

Next day they busted her in the hotel room and she went to jail.

Another provider i met in Minneapolis said they charged her with a felony of "self promoting"!

No rules is right.

I'm sure the new trafficking crackdown allows the LEO to deviate from this. And if not, I think some LEO do not really care to bend the rules, after all, the damage is really done in the arrest. Being splattered all over the paper, having to call the SO for bail, your work relations tarnished. It would not matter if the charges are tossed or not. . damage is done. So. Research research research. One way would be to walk in and announce I just need a massage. . . I'm pretty sure if its a LEO, she not going to start rubbing your hairy back HAHAHAAH. If she does. . . Well she may be legit.

In conversations with a target, how far can the UC go before a defense attorney can use an entrapment defense? That's the key to a good UC operative, the business transaction must be suggested and led by the john. He or she should name the specific sexual act and cost when talking to the UC.

Things that make me comfortable and ready to slip off into dreamland are multiple reviews. Ads on multiple sites are better. But nothing is foolproof. Of course the other side of the coin is, if she has to run multiple adds on multiple sites instead of relying on regulars / repeat business there may be a reason. I guess the sweet-spot would be a character in your dream that was in the process of building up a base or regulars. So someone who had run adds for months but not years. Eventually seasoned veterans will expect you to give back and TOFTT. But at 5 posts you are still asking for free info and annoying those senior to me. But don't expect a magic bullet, if the add says exactly this or not say that. New adds will occasionally snag a monger, but usually this is discovered and reported in a few days.

Seems if they get the server, the browser being used don't matter. Maybe the real lesson here is that the server was located in North Carolina. Luckily, our USASG manual says: "the Forum's servers are located outside of US jurisdiction, safely beyond the reach of the USA court system"...

Excellent and concise job in not only laying out the issues in the case and what went wrong technically, but correlating that to what USASG has done to eliminate that risk. You more tech savvy members would need to comment on the shortfalls of whether full-disk encryption was used on the server and other elements that would have helped for the server hosting the information.

This article is actually about child porn (not just mongering), but it is an interesting read about LEO investigative tactics, specifically how the FBI conducted a nationwide sting operation by using the computer server of an internet website... guy here was a funeral director in Rockwood.

Summary:
The FBI recently busted 180+ men on child porn charges who were members of a site called "The Playpen" -- which according to the FBI "operates on the dark web, an encrypted network using hidden servers. Site visitors use the anonymous browsing tool Tor, which hides the user's Internet protocol, or IP, address." (AND) "The FBI wound up arresting the Florida man who served as administrator and seized his server from a location in North Carolina."
