I thought my beloved USA site was toast, that it was going down, pun intended. I have Verizon and a Wi-Fi hookup at my house. Here's the solution. Put your phone in airplane mode and use Wi-Fi only. Voila, you can connect to USA.

That's not my problem. I can connect through WiFi. Even without turning on airplane mode. The only way I can't connect is when I'm only using Verizon data. So if I don't have access to a WiFi connect I have no access to the site. When I get the time I'm going to take another run at Verizon.

I have been unable to access the site from my Verizon phone using just the Verizon network. I have read other's posts that that they are having the same issue. Since I don't have the same need for secrecy as some I contacted Verizon about this problem. After wading through the AI assistant bullshit I got a Verizon agent to chat with (or a better version of AI). I explain the problem I was having and this was the final reply I got:

Verizon Agent: "We don't block website from you. We want you to have all the access you need to the internet. I would think this is just some IP issue or some por is not open that would cause this. But we can get this investigated and see what we can do for you, Sound good?

I told them I expected freedom of access to any part of the web I wanted to access and you can see by their reply they denied responsibility. I put in a support request. So we'll see what happens with this "investigation". I'll keep you posted.

With so many of those Asian ads that are obviously controlled by 3 or 4 groups, I'm surprised that none of them open up AMPs in town. They operate openly from several hotels and give the address out to anyone that sends them a text, so they obviously are not being hassled by LE or the Hotels themselves. They've been at it for months and dominate the ads. It would seem that opening up some AMPs would be easier than the constant hotel thing. Any thoughts? There used to be several decent AMPs in Knoxville the same as there are in most cities.

I am apolitical, seriously a-fucking-political, I laugh at all you guys who think that either red or blue give a fuck about you but this question cannot be answered without mentioning politics so I moved it to the fight thread.

For fucking years ISP's and Cable Companies tried to do away with something called "net neutrality" which was a simple concept, all packets moving on the internet had to be treated equally. Under several administrations they (cable companies) tried to get rid of it but during the hearings the tech world mobilized and was able to keep it from happening. Then along came Trump (full disclosure, because I'm originally from the East Coast I have held him in contempt for a long time, I did think he was a shit president but I also thought he was shit long before he became president) who appointed Ajit Pai as the Chair of the FCC, previously Ajit had been an attorney and lobbyist for Verizon.

Around May they opened public comments on the idea of again doing away with Net Neutrality and where previously there would have been around 1/2 million comments this time there was like 20,000,000. (I think, I'm going from memory but it was a fuck ton) with most of them saying that doing away with net neutrality was what needed to happen, later analysis showed that nearly all of the comments coming in support of doing away with neutrality came from a specific IP range and all the messages had similar language so they were most likely manufactured by the ISP's to fraudulently show public support.

Then on December 14th a vote was held by the 5 person panel that voted 3-2 to do away with neutrality calling it, no shit, "Restoring Internet freedom" which makes me puke because before it the internet was free and now it no longer is.

The easy answer to your question is this, The Internet Service Providers in the US, but specifically Verizon, want the internet to be like cable where you pay for premium services and they want to throttle content that they deem to be unacceptable. They got a former lobbyist appointed to the FCC and a President that didn't give a fuck about public backlash nor his legacy and they gave themselves the power to fucking do this. Guys like me were telling people this would happen but because EVERYTHING in the US is divided along party lines nobody listened. One of my conservative friends actually said in response to this, "if they start throttling sites people will get sick of it and the "market" will build a new internet to compete.

Don't think my contempt is limited to Trump, whoever is running Biden could reverse this in a second but they haven't and Congress could fix it by having the internet declared a public utility but the ISP's pay them too much money. I don't want to get sued so I'm not going to tell you what you should do but personally, if I lived in the US I would not use an ISP that told me what I could and could not look at.

To all you red blue fucks out there I won't get involved in an argument, these facts are clear and in the public record. Every big tech site in the fucking world told you that doing away with net neutrality was a really bad idea but nobody fucking listened and now this is what you have.

So there is a burger place on Chapman Highway, in a little building across from Wendy's. Two people run the place. One, Sasha, has a Russian accent and is worth the visit just to watch her walk across the parking lot to their cooler. And they have good burgers. These are from the summer. Wish I had the time and imagination to compose a lengthy essay as you can author, you are the best at saying what others only think. My only input would be, I only pay what I would pay per hour for a professional to revamp my kitchen or bathroom, that is no where near 200-300 per hour.

By reading and not repeating explicit stuff you protect yourself and give me reassurance that you're legit.

I simply wish people would read before contacting providers.

I really wish all providers put their rates online too.

Any time a provider chooses to post an ad on a venue that doesn't require any type of required membership (preferably a PAID membership) . ,. ,. , you're lucky to get a guy who will read to the end of your ad. It's not necessarily the guy's fault, but your fellow salespeople need a crash course in basic marketing and not leave out key components to help differentiate her from the others. Even if the "suggested retail price" is posted, we don't all pay the same to the same provider (she may even chose not to see us altogether). As a brother mentioned, mongers who still shop for companionship on the retail market are likely sending out mass emails just to account for the non-responses.

I truly miss the USA Adult Classifieds website as it helped the providers and mongers link up far more expeditiously.

That most of the guys that ask you redundant questions have read and messaged many, many ads in an attempt to get someone, anyone to respond and probably forget which ad actually responded.
