BP Fakes

Excellent Idea. I will start posting links to my flagged ads as well. And, for sure, only the ones who are verified fakes, with no question. For me it is the annoying ones that use the same fake pics over and over again. Regular posters, using these same pics, when they are all over the internet. Just has to stop, or stop using the same damn pics! It is an insult to all our collective intelligence.

I would add that to make this approach more effective, it would help for anyone who flags the fake ads to include a list of all the ads they reported. That would make it easier for other posters to simply go down the list and flag them. Here is the list of ads I flagged from over the weekend:

I would also caution that people shouldn't go hog wild about reporting ads, and only flag the ones that can be demonstrably proven as fakes.

I propose that, when we see a post using obviously fake pictures, we use the option on BP to "Report Ad" in the upper right hand corner of the Ad. This takes you to a page to select the reason from three choices only. I have used "overposted / spam", as that is the closest to the issue at hand. Then they ask for the usual anti-robot verification / captcha. Very quick and simple.

The confirmation says that one complaint will not remove the post so they obviously need more than one complaint to remove a post, but if more of us do this on a regular basis, at least for the posters using the same fake pics over and over again, maybe they will get the message, and start using real pics of what they offer, or stop populating the board with fake pics ads all together.

Look for opinions and feedback on this. If it doesn't make sense to a lot of us, no real benefit to the effort.
