Inaccurate temp
Might be holding the thermometer too far away from the head. Most have to be about 6-8 inches away for an accurate reading.

I've noticed a lot of places measuring using those handheld infrared devices. In theory, they should be accurate, in practice, I don't think so. I've seen several instances where the surface temperature of a person read so low or high that the person should probably be dead. Trying it myself, I just measured my temp as "94.4" and "94.6", meaning I should be experiencing hypothermia. However, it at least "appears" they are trying to be diligent, haha. Same thing as using a shoddy face-covering!
