I've lived my entire life among them and there are a few clear differences. Chinese woman are open and tell you what they're thinking (in both good and bad ways), as opposed to Japanese women who will not tell you anything if they think you wouldn't like hearing it (unless things get really bad). Both women care about money but it's quite different. A Japanese woman is usually not dumb enough to marry a poor man, but as long as that condition is met the relationship going forward is rarely centered on money.
