In Garden Grove not far from the boundary with Westminster I would recommend the Morada Inn. West side of GG Blvd just south of intersection with Beach Blvd. Pretty much across GG Blvd from "CPA Massage". Typical low cost but clean and modern motel and absolutely comfortable in the mid-$30's as a full overnight rate. TV, heat / AC and plumbing work just fine. You can check in at noon and have it for almost 24 hours at that price. Yelp reviews I read a couple of years back said it was like a drug dealer and petty criminal haven but I didn't encounter any of that and consider the place to be a well situated fantastic bargain for hobbyists.

I'm now searching for a decent and decently inexpensive place in Fullerton or very close by. This is going to be a long running and probably weekly engagement so I need a decent price, high level of comfort, and discreet staff. Would love to find a place like Morada where I can get a great overnight rate and don't have to watch the clock, and don't mind paying a little more to land the right location.

Regency Motel in Brea does hourly rates at $30/ hour. Used it a couple times. Rooms are clean, paid in cash, and no questions asked. (:

Many prostitutes including the legendary Viet Kim utilize the Westminster Motor Inn on Beach Boulevard. They don't rent by the hour but it's cheaper than most.

Another options always is hotwire. Usually get cheapish deals there. Buy a visa card and use that to book.

Is it just me, or have so many of these places that used to be hourly gone to overnight rates only, high rates at that. Another disturbing trend IMHO is that many of them won't rent to you unless you both have I'd. How many real SW do you know that carry I'd?
