Wow, this is a sad day for me indeed. I just assumed all this time that Baldy retired. Never gave it too much of a thought as to why, but I assumed maybe it had to due with health. Then I was reading back thru the forum, got some links, and read up on it. Sad indeed, he was a helluva guy. I hope while he is in there, he writes a book. He could call it "The Rise and Fall of Baldy Cruiser: the Untold Story. " He could make a fortune or at least a damn good porno. LOL Seriously, I hope he is doing well and makes it thru this intact. And yes when it comes to young ones with no identification, if in doubt, throw her ass out. Peace out and be safe brothers. JTW.

When a police officer asks you a question you have two choices, answer truthfully, or don't answer at all and invoke.
Your 5th amendment right against self incrimination. If you knowingly give false information you can be charged with obstruction of justice. OTH, if you answer truthfully and admit to a crime you could be charged for the crime. Because of the underlying nature of the offense (sex crime), the AUSA required BC register as a sex offender.

It's a scary proposition. He likely panicked when they asked him about her and lied. Then he tried to cover up that he lied, impeding the investigation. The lesson here is this: you never know what type of trouble some of. These people are in and whether they are being forced to engage in certain activity. Therefore, if any police officer ever comes to your home asking about somebody you saw it's best to get a lawyer before agreeing to answer.
Any questions. There's always plenty of time to consider what evidence they have against you, if any (or even if you're the subject of the investigation). What ever you do, don't lie. Be honest and say I'm afraid if I answer.
Your questions I might incriminate myself. So I have to invoke my 5th amendment right and seek the advice of counsel. Who knows, if BC had just told them he had seen her a few days prior and stayed silent on the other stuff.
He might not have been charged. It's hard to know if he knew she wasn't at least 18. It could be he thought she was. If she had misrepresented her age it would have been more difficult to charge him on the sex crime-as it.
Was he wasn't charged with that at all. It could mean the case on that was not strong. Of course, his posts about the encounter could have done him in on that if they had charged him on that. My feeling is they got him on.
The obstruction charge because they probably couldn't get him on anything else. Then required him to admit to the other stuff as part of the plea agreement.
Good information! I for one will be more vigilant and never become complacent or allow my ego to rule. If any of you have been reading about Cuba Dave on the International boards, he too was over the top and now he is in a Costa Rica prison. Be carefuil out there guys.

Never a huge fan of Baldy, but I would never wish this upon anybody. I hope he is doing well up there and is safe.

BC was not charged or convicted for statutory rape or any sexual act with the girl. He wasn't busted and convicted because he's a famous monger. He got busted because he posted a photo on the internet of a teenage girl who was possibly being exploited by pimps. I don't recall if she was actually missing. The post drew LE and a federal investigation to his door and he initially denied any contact or knowledge of the girl which grew into an obstruction of justice conviction after he changed his story.

BC's fatal flaw was that he cultivated his own fame by publicizing his lifestyle so widely and explicitly. Regardless, I doubt he would have posted the pic or even contacted her if he was truly aware she was underage. I never met him but figured I'd meet him one day at Starz or King Henry. From whatever one can tell by reading posts here, he always came across as a fundamentally decent guy and very much a gentleman.
Actually, he was convicted of a sex act, although in a roundabout way. If you do more research, you will find that he was offered and accepted a plea deal. One key term of the plea deal is very much in line with the fact that they realize he had sex with the girl: he has to register as a sex offender upon release. If you search for the other cases similar to his, that stipulation isn't there. But it is for him. There was no way the feds were going to let him admit to it, and not get nailed for it.

I agree to an extent about the flaw. The flaw to me was that he thought the adoration showed to him by some on this site inflated his ego and made him think he was bigger than life. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There is no such thing as a legendary or famous monger, because every man who does this has the same chance to bang the same women if they're putting themselves out there to be had. No fame in that.

This all should be a lesson to any monger: the moment you lose sight of the inherent risks in this game, the higher the chance of making a critical error that could impact your life forever.

His posts and pictures were too specific to himself. Stay under the radar. Post general information. Let your fellow mongers research and find the details for themselves.
    Good advice in the end.

I can't help but think if he'd reached out to this board, someone with a lot of legal experience could have helped him out.

His sentence did confirm what I already do--stick to ancient Asian cum dumps. They are closer to 80 than 16.

Had those teachers pimped out the boys or stood between Feds and a boy-pimping ring it would have been much different for those ladies as well. There's a lot more to the story than statutory rape. That's the least of his issues and I'm not even sure that charge was used.

Moral of this story is don't try to outsmart the fed. Close your mouth and lawyer up.

    Then

Then there is always the possibility that he wants to dissociate himself from all of this given what happened to him, and would not welcome our assistance.

Unfortunately, I have gained enough experience from the darkside to understand crooks. They will lie. Cheat. Steal. And when they get caught, they default to deny and cry. Next thing you know, they will try to use the system agaisnt you.

IMHO we should all learn from others. BC was a man. Both good and bad. He got caught up. Learn the lesson.

I will definitely send him correspondence. The next step is how do we support a fellow brother? This isn't what the laws were trying to do.
