Go to First New Post not working

Is it really fixed Mr Wizard!

Off & on I've stated the inter-links didn't function properly, & that the posts seemed backwards (ie numbered from one ascending order rather than descending order)

Was told they were working on it (over a year ago) hats off as the site is working like a charm for me now, when I click on a internal link I'm taken directly to the post.

BIG THANKS to Jackson for getting this fixed.

It isn't just when a post is made.

It's when doing a search & you click on the link, it will take you to GAWD only knows where, but it's not the page of the post you were looking for.

The link does take you to the correct forum but that's about it, which really makes it frustrating trying to locate the specific post within that forum.

The link use to take you to the page of the post within the forum & it was easy to find the post on the page, as the link lead to the correct page that the post was on.

Now you have to try & navigate by date which is hard if you don't know which page that the date is on.

It takes me 5 times as long now to do a search as compared to how it use to be.

Same thing when clicking on a view original post, takes you else where.

Also happens when clicking on an a link in the body of a post that leads to another post on this site, it will take you the correct forum, but not to the post or page that the post is on in that forum.

Also the last post use to be the highest numbered post, example is post #1 was at the beginning of the year of 2012 now it's at the latest point in the year of 2012, so it's ass backwards now.

Another one is when in the state forum you have to click on the city then the forum to go to the latest post, otherwise it take you to a arbitrary page within the forum.

Same thing with the photo gallery, click on a link to the report & it will lead to an arbitrary page within the forum, but usually not to the post or page that the post is on within that forum.

I'm not sure if the site was up-dated or not, but the last time this happened it was with the photo gallery & it took awhile to get it fixed.

I thought it was my settings that somehow got messed up, but I asked a tech-head from work & after he looked at it said it's the site & to notify the administrator.

I pmed Jackson, but have not got a reply, hopefully it's being worked on.

Thanks to Jackson for the site, but please please fix or turn on the old features!

Is anyone else experiencing these any of the above issues, or is it just Macsys & I? I've been having these issues for months.

Also note: when I am logged out most of the issues are gone, meaning most of the links work correctly, however you can't do certain things when logged out.

I still have this problem on the search as well.

I'm sure it is because of the numbering, all new posts to a thread are assigned #1 instead of the next incremental number. So when you search, it takes you to posts that do not correspond to your search inquiry.

Funny thing is if you go to a thread without signing in, the posts are numbered correctly. Meaning the very first post ever to the thread is #1 and each new thread gets the next incremental number. BUT, without being signed in, you can't search.

I'm having the same problems here. When I click the "Go to first new post" link on a thread, I get the top post of the last page of the thread. Very frustrating.

I'm also a member of the InternationalSexGuide forum. Interesting enough, things appear to work there. When I click the "Go to first new post" link on a thread, I do get the first new post of the thread. If I search, click the "Show post" bullet, then click on a search result, I do get the post that contains the search query. I'm not sure why it's working on the InternationalSexGuide forum but not on the USASexGuide forum.

It seems as though only a day or two of posts are showing up in search results. If a member has not posted recently, the result comes up with nothing.

First off, THANKS for keeping this site up and running. Good job!

I noticed several days ago that when I click on the "Go to First New Post" link in the forums, it takes me to the first (oldest) page in the thread instead of the first new post. It also does this when clicking a link in search results (which basically makes search useless). Don't mean to complain, but if you can you may want to check these out. Thanks,
