Given that CN was arrested less than two years ago and the court proceedings would have taken place well after the arrest, it's safe to say that this is incorrect.

Given the real name, the conviction can be checked one way or the other. I remember he was on bail for the laughable sum of maybe $100,000 that he could have easily afforded. I laughed that he could run and retire anywhere in the world. If he chose to come back, he could have cooperated and got a short sentence fast instead of delaying. If he got only 2 years he could have an early release.
