I pulled into Diamond as well as the new place on Bendel Garden Rd at 4 pm Thursday and it was light airlines stacked up in a holding pattern! She told me 1.5 hr wait and I passed. LAFAYETTE — Six females and 16 males were booked over the weekend in a sting that pursued suspects in an area of Lafayette known for prostitution, police said.

On Friday and Saturday nights, police conducted the operation in the 1400 block of Cameron Street, which also resulted in the arrest of one male for alleged possession of marijuana and another male on a count of interfering with the duties of a police officer, Cpl. Paul Mouton said in a release.

The six females were arrested Friday night, while the 16 men were booked Saturday night. All were arrested on counts of solicitation for prostitution, Mouton said.

Thinking about making a little road trip down your way and was wondering if any of my old haunts were still active. In the 70's, I worked in the oil patch and we went in and out of Intercoastal City. On the way back to Lafayette, there was a little hole in the road town called Abbeyville that had a strip club in it. Back then, there was a bunk house out back and everything was on the menu. Additionally, there was another club right in downtown Oppolusus that had a similar set up. Both were quick and easy. Does anyone know if either of these establishments are still operating?
