Visa and Mastercard quit doing business with backpage. Org

Looks like there may be fewer ads on Backpage now. The article makes it sound like Visa and Mastercard have already done this. But what it means is that providers can no longer place ads on backpage. Org with a credit card. The same think happened to CraigsList in 2010.
From the article:
""The unfettered proliferation of websites like Backpage.com has provided this violent industry with a mask of normalcy, driving demand ever higher and increasing the enslavement of prostituted individuals, including children," Dart wrote, alleging that in more than 800 cases where his office responded to Backpage ads, every investigation led to an arrest. Backpage fight back! Sues Chicago Sheriff
This is getting more interesting.
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/backpage-sues-cook-county-sheriff
In a nutshell, a sheriff in Chicago pressured Visa and master Card into denying processing of Backpage Adult ads. He claimed it was aiding illeagle activities and promoting human trafficing. Backpage has now sued him, "alleging that Cook County's Thomas Dart, sheriff of the second largest county in the country, was censoring the company and its customers' right to free speech by pushing for Visa and Mastercard to end their relationships with Backpage. ".
This should be interesting. If Backpage wins, I wonder if Craigs List will bring back Adult Services.
