I am not so concerned about our offence so much as I am about our defence.
I am a ardent believer that defence wins championships.
Least we forget we won our first three SuperBowls largely on the back of our defence.
We also lost three against teams with a better defence.
Against Atlanta that was a whole team effort on both defence & offence, but to me more so on the defence.
Last year was a tough one as the game was a seesaw battle going back & forth, 2:53 left to play & we get the ball back Philly is 38 we're 33 & I figured Brady to go down & score & win the game, but Philly made one more defensive play than we did & stripped Brady of the ball, game over.
There's been no consistency on defence & guess you could say the same about the team as a whole.
As much as it pains me to say it I don't see us going far should we make it to the playoffs (hope I'm wrong), I think we'll be one & done.
We've been spoiled with this Pats team during the greatest run ever in the NFL, but as there was a beginning there will be an end, not saying it's here now but we're getting close.
Let the naysayers have their time as they will finally get it right at some point after years & years & years of getting it so very wrong.
Me I'm just glad that I got to see the greatest football team ever to have played in my life time!
The dynasty isn't over until the Patriots have an actual bad season. Similar stories about Belichick losing control spawned way back in 2003. The media has been hyping up stories like this almost every single offseason and people fall for it every time. I'll believe it when the Patriots actually post a subpar record and show incompetence for longer than a 4 game stretch. I and many others aren't ready for the Patriots to ride off into the sunset!
