Looks like it is a scam after all

Just in case the link goes bad.
Posting a pic of the ad doesn't prove it's a scam

Just in case the link goes bad.
For this to be a true scam someone needs to demonstrate how the provider (or scammer) gets money from the client without actually meeting him in person.
The point I made earlier is still valid. As long as the client doesn't give the provider any numbers or codes from the back of the Vanilla card, then having the card in his hand when he shows up for the appt is the equivalent of having cash in hand. The only way this turns into a scam is if we get some report that she calls a client and asks him for the numbers on the card itself.
Otherwise, it's still my theory that this could be the (excessive) defense mechanism of a provider who has been ripped off. I'm not saying I couldn't be wrong about this, just that it hasn't yet been proved.
I'm sure you know this, but absolutely don't give her any info
Ok. I fell for it. Water under the bridge, live goes one.
Got a text this afternoon. She now wants to credit back. Asked for name and email.
One of the classic scammer tactics is making contact again and running a different con. I guess they figure if they fooled you once there's a decent chance they can do it again. And one of the standard follow-up scams is to pretend they want to help you get back some or all of your money.
From what you posted, it's my guess they'll start with name and email but then ask for more, like a cc or bank account number so they can "credit" you with the money. Yeah, right!
Let's hope karma catches up with these b*tches sooner rather than later.
Provider from high-cost area (ex. CA) + no reviews = poor odds (IMHO)
Agree, I think she needs some sort of help, in my report I forgot to mention that seemed like someone was smoking cannabis inside the room, can't tell she was high as fuck though, probably she uses eye drops or something, the point is that I've seen folks not feeling well when in presence of heavy weed stench, so yeah another good reason to avoid her.
Yes, I lost couple bucks, in this game at some point there are some loses, I'm glad she is just like 1% of all hoes I've been with. At the end it was me who decided to leave the room, because as soon she got the money, she only took her pants off, she didn't want to take her hoodie off, she just laid in the bed, no more positions, she didn't want to be touch at all!! That's when I started to raise my voice because ***** seemed she was not going to work as she agreed before, after being yelled she at least took her hoodie off to show the shape of those huge tits, she didn't took off her sports bra, but I could tell she has some curves, then when finally made her to bend her over she didn't want me to grab that fat ass! That's when I left the room, couldn't stand that bitchy attitude.
Amber's links:

FWIW, I always question why a good provider would incur the high costs involved in traveling from CA all the way to the DMV. If she has a good reputation, and is making good $ in her home area, then it's cheaper for her to work out of her own residence, local hotels, shared apt arrangement, or local outcalls. If she's concerned about privacy issues, then there are less expensive options closer to home.
It's my belief the DMV has a reputation with providers for clients willing to pay higher prices. When providers visit from lower-cost areas, that makes good business sense to me so it doesn't set off my alarms. But when they come from places like SAN, LAX, SFO, PDX, and SEA, that raises a red flag for me unless they have good reviews or intel reports. Of course there are always exceptions, such as providers who travel a regular circuit, but even those have reviews and reports once they've been at it for a while.
So the bottom-line for me is that if I'm going to TOFTT on an unreviewed provider, the better odds are to go with someone who looks to be local (who will hopefully care about repeat business) or maybe a provider who looks like she's coming from a nearby or lower-cost area.
In the end it's still a gamble and all we can do is try to improve the odds as best we can.
Sorry for your experience but thanks for the heads up!
Should I stay or should I go? IMHO
There are several problem reports recently posted. Trouble was indicated all along these stories.
I recently went to a provider with few reviews to toftt and see for myself. I first called her and asked if she had reviews I could look at. She said "Is that still a thing?" Of course she was correct, we have lost TER. The review sites remaining are less reliable and have paywalls. This group is good, but limited. So. The conversation was awkward. I do not discuss specifics, prices, or anything that could not appear in the Washington Post about me. So I asked here to talk to me about herself.
She almost immediately put me at ease. She told me that she had a safe place and that I would go away happy. It was less of what she said and more of how she said it.
So, talk to the provider you seek. Use your kindergarden skills. Stay away from the crazy kid who will get you in trouble. Go see the girl that verbally takes you by the hand.
This is my humble opinion. It can be nice to meet a provider that will take you by the hand.
