Just my luck
I went to Flashers last Friday and had a good time with Mercedes. Was offered VIP but didn't have the coin. After reading about her on here, decided to go back this Friday and partake. Unfortunately, she either wasn't there or was in an extended VIP with another customer. Ended up sitting with another dancer that caught my eye on the previous visit (kerri, kelly? As soon as we sat down, her hand was between my legs! This was a god sign for what I was wanting. We talked for 10 minutes or so about other clubs. She was asking what other clubs were pretty liberal with what goes on in VIP and during dances. Again. Looking good! Decided to get 2 quick dances and then go to VIP for some fun. After the first dance she thanked me and began to get dressed. I told her I wanted one more dance. She quickly said, "I'm sorry. I'm going to be really rude here! One of my regulars just came in. I'm going to go sit with him for a while. " I understand having regulars and catering to them a bit but, DAMN! I could've been her new regular for fucks sake! So here I sit a day later still needing relief!

In her own way though she may have been trying to explain it wasn't that she didn't like you but something / someone was more important. Meant with all due respect, but she was likely making a solid business decision playing the odds of keeping a regular happy vs. Maybe getting something out of some new face off the street.
I'm not a regular at Flashers but can speak to some other places. At Tattletale there are guys that throw a gal VIP money just for sitting with them listening to their bullshit and stroking their egos. They come in a couple times a week if not more. (Some of them) are very possessive / territorial (e. G. They forget she's a stripper). Those dayshift regulars literally pay the rent.
If they are of the "thug" variety, then they are probably the girls pimp and just trying to get others to tip, they get the money back anyway.
I've seen the girls on many different occasions go over to the table when they get off stage and discretely, or so they think, hand the money back to them under the table.
This happens in Memphis all the time! I'm glad someone picked up on these shenanigans.

It's been awhile but can you hold your money til after VIP, at say, Follies? I always paid before.
Took a break from the hobby but I miss it. It's either this or Atlanta Swingers day time parties.

Some girls are cool with you paying her (usually $100) after the session. Some aren't. If you're new to her, she might be more inclined to want payment upfront.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel a lot *less* inclined to tip a dancer when I see some chump making it rain on her, even when it isn't a scam. First of all, it almost guarantees that she isn't my type. But if she were, I wouldn't expect my ordinary tip to even get noticed, so what would be the point?

Shooters alley
Just got out of shooters alley. Lots of fun hot young spinners. No parking charge, one dollar cover. I had a good time, and I got some high mileage lap dances. However, the girls would only dance for me about one song before needing to get up to go see their regulars. No one even offered VIP. I really wanted a dance from a really cute girl named mahogany. She was with someone the entire two hours I was there.

Here's some rich irony: the same traits that make strippers do what we love (sucking our dicks and fucking us in VIP, grinding their pussy on our laps until we have a little smear of juice where her pussy was, stuffing her nipples in our mouths) also make them irresponsible and lacking in basic wit and customer service. You just can't fix the latter without probably losing the former.
I was chatting with "Honey", a super-tight 6-pack-abs dancer at Shooter Alley, sweet as can be, and we got to talking about fitness (I'm a devotee myself, exercising about 2 hours a day in combined cardio, strength, and sport or other skills work), because she's SO fit. It turned out she was a track girl in high school until she got "booted off the team". I asked what happened, and she didn't point to any specific cause; she smiled and ruefully commented "the same kinds of things that landed me in a job as a stripper".
These girls are at the bottom of the scale; losers, basically. It's always pretty funny seeing their tweets ("I'm a Boss *****", "I love my life", "Thumbing thru a check", etc).
The only way you're going to get the service you want with a high probability of delivery is to manage it carefully: make your demands realistic, clear, and understood, and tip after!

Issues Abound
You might as well add, substance abuse issues, some sort of physical and mental abuse and low self esteem. Twitter, IG, FB and others have made a slew of people act above themselves. At the end of the day, they have a service that I require and I have the currency that they desire.

(etc.)
Back to the rainmakers, even when it is the dancer's pimp raining money that he'll get back, I doubt if it's a scheme to trick others into tipping. That may be part of it, but their main goal is the same as the dudes who throw up real money: To look like hot shit in front of everybody in the club. They're just fronting on the cheap. But I don't see any reason to begrudge whatever they do for kicks, as long as there's room for me to get mine.

In your case, you should have realized that you could at least withhold her payment until the two of you were together in the VIP, right before the action commenced. Of course, she still could have taken the money and run off somewhere to hide. I've seen and heard reports of ROBs pulling that kind of shit in VIP.
I think the real lesson is that unless you know the stripper well enough to trust her a bit, paying her first is going to be a gamble. But unless she knows you a bit, paying afterwards may not be an option. It's one time when strip clubs can seem less like instant gratification and more like dating.

Its so easy to get scammed in there its not even funny. You could give a chic the money and she says "hold up, I have to give some to the doorman". She leaves the room, never to be seen again. Alot of those chics are so full of shit, if I don't get what I want on the dance floor, I'm not going back to any VIP room. Lesson learned. Pay half upfront and half later or all later.
