I remember when this came out. Actually, the court ruled that the police cannot search any cell phone without a warrant. Google "supreme court cell phone search. ".
Let's go over this one more time. If law enforcement have probable cause to believe the cell phone was used during the commission of a crime, they may seize said cell phone on the spot, the charge being possession of criminal tools. Now they have physical possession of the phone. If the phone is locked with a password, or encrypted and you refuse to "unlock" said cell phone, now you can be charged with obstruction of justice. Of course, you have the right to refuse, law enforcement has physical possession of a criminal tool believed to be used during the commission of a crime, there is the reasonable cause for a search warrant of the phone to be issued.

Why are you arguing about it?

Have fun, but be careful!
I wonder if Jerry Springer was there?
I believe that Big Dawgs point is that they can "seize" your phone as evidence of suspicion of criminal activity without a warrant, then hold it and have possession long enough to get a warrant to examine the contents, if they choose to.

They can seize it but can't get a warrant unless the alleged charge is a felony.
Mongering is misdemeanor. Promoting is felony. Drug offense can be felony. Just keep it simple mongering and you are fine.
And only carry a burner phone. Let them seize it. Buy another.

Regulation and intrusion have become extreme. Big Brother is watching. All designed to keep you soberly paying ever increasing taxes for the largesse and immunity of the politicians.
And remember it is election day. We need to find and vote for candidates who can defend and protect what is left of our freedom.

There are too many tax consumers and not enough tax payers to change things. Tax consumers will vote for anything that is going to get them a bigger share of the taxes paid in, and that includes all of the governmental regulations and intrusions that come with it. Sadly, the only way to change things now would be through an armed insurrection which would eliminate all of the existing politicians and start all over with the original bill of rights and the original constitution. As it is now, the US Government believes in government of the party, for the party, by the party. Unfortunately there are two parties that never can get along.

My only disagreement is that one party is only marginally better than the other. Both back crony capitalism. Both grow the beast that is government. McConnell's tax reform contains nothing for the common man. Personally, I would go with a flat tax, no deductions or exemptions with a negative tax below a certain level. All poverty programs would stop. The poor would get a check to spend as they please.
This would never happen as it would dry up the money from the lobbyists and crony capitalists to the legislators.

WDTN report indicating that the Montgomery County Sheriff's office has created a new division that will strictly handle sex and labor trafficking issues.

The report does mention that the female detective in charge will spend her time conducting prostitution stings on the street and online. Be careful out there.
