939: Sometimes a Strip Club, Sometimes not.
Anyone has comments and updates on Centerfolds and 939 recently? I haven't gone to those two places in over 1.5 years so I was wondering how's the action going over there and if it's worth even paying a visit again.
As for 939, I was there on February 18, the Sunday night before the President's Day Holiday. We were ready to go in, when the bouncer said it was a disco that evening. No wonder had so many chicks going in. Bouncer said no naked women tonight, so we split.
Prior to that, last week in December, it was a strip club, and the women were mostly blonde and pretty good looking too.
Call before you head down so you know what to expect.
My feedback; Crystal Palace is now A++
I stopped by these places back in 2003 or 2004; the $25 entry fee kept me from even considering them regular stops. This was also a time before I *really* started reading the Guide, so I missed that there was play to be had there. Is that still true? Is the $25 worth it, or should I just enjoy a drink at Rock-za or Femme Nu?
To contribute: Tres Joile and Club Sandy are horrible. You get exactly what you'd expect at a run-down strip club, though...
I used to never go to Crystal Palace because of the cover charge and the way it was inside compared to other bars. But when I got word that they allowed smoking inside, I was thrilled. Finally a bar/ strip club that feels like the good old days. Lots of people are doing it inside so you feel safe in numbers. Well worth the cover charge now with this wonderful policy. Bravo!!!, A place for us. :)
