I am not really into pop music anymore. I still use a burn phone (Tracfone, Virgin, etc). I hate having to explain the extra phone. In the past, I've said it's my backup phone I keep in the car for emergencies. Make sure not to keep any logs / info on the phone. Delete data after every use.

I think the first thing you need to do is change your number. I'm sure it'll be inconvenient to get a new number, but if the UTR is constantly trying to make contact then better to be safe. If you'd like to see the UTR again, then make sure she only gets a google voice number and never again your daily number. If I was in your situation, I'd burn the number and her as a part of your stable. If she doesn't understand the need for discretion then she may be trouble.

Nice name. I love soju and drink that almost every other night. Any who, I have been in a very similar situation as you before. I tried to turn off my phone since the girl was blasting my phone, I had to make up a BS story and told my SO that I had to change numbers. Like the other member said, it might be a be* to change numbers, but since you have a SO and I know you don't want that to blow up that is one option you can take. The other option, like the others suggest, is that you get a burner phone or app and tell the UTR that you have a new number. I would then suggest you block her number on your main line so the UTR believes that you actually changed number. Now, if you don't want to change your number or get an app / burner phone, I used the app, YouMail, in the past. I used it a long time ago, but I think if you get a voicemail or miss call, it will send you an email, which could be less suspicious. I would suggest turning off all notification for the app. You would have to test out YouMail, since I haven't used it in a while to make sure the features (emailing notification) work. If you think the UTR is worth it, I saw keep her. But if you think she is immature or may F with you later on, maybe in the long run it might be better to let her go. Then edit her name to read in your address book as "DO NOT ANSWER" or just "AVOID". For a more visual effect I assign a picture reminding me to "DO NOT ANSWER" or "AVOID".
Then if the SO see this number come-up on your phone, just explain you've been getting junk call from people trying to sell you stuff and ignore or answer it at your connivence as you see fit.
One tenacious psycho figured out I would answer any number but hers and would call from other people's phone. Well every phone number she used I "add to existing number" and would get the same non ringtone treatment. Pretty soon she racked up 78 numbers grouped in the "DO NOT ANSWER" or just "AVOID" group.
I've done in the past and eventually they get the message and give up.

When I don't want someone texting me, I'll wait about 3 days and then respond back claiming that I just got this number yesterday and pretend I'm someone else. And with the discreet texting for those with SO's, I usually just ask the girls if they have a kik. That usually seems to work. Maybe that will help some of you out.

Any suggestions on how to find it?I apologize I was a bit hasty is my response. I use GV forwarded to a prepaid hobby phone so I only access via the computer-based GV site or through the mobile GV site on another smartphone under a hobby Google account.
Right after I responded to you post I realized that the setting I mentioned only tells you that you can access GV through hangouts. I would suggest using GV with a prepaid and not your main phone. That way Hangouts won't be a problem.

After making use of Google search for a few hours, my problem was resolved. I ended up getting a new GV number, same Google email account. It then automatically opted me in with Hangouts. However, on the left hand side of the screen, under where your Inbox and Outbox are, there's a Hangouts button that you can click on to opt out. I did, and now I am backing to using GV like the good old days. Send and receive texts from both the web and my GV anroid app.Let me try this again as the moderator told me I had some errors in brackets.
There are other systems you can use rather than using a burner phone:
-If you have an iPhone and IOS 7 an above, you can block people from calling / SMS but going into the phone app contacts specific person who called or who is on your contact list block this contact.
-If you have an iPhone, there is an APP called "Burner". For a reasonable fee, you can "buy" a temporary phone number to SMS / call then you burn it (Or it burns itself over a short period of time).
-Google voice allows you to switch numbers at no cost.
Myself, I like these options better than an additional phone that could be "discovered".
