To the politicians and bureaucrats who run the District of Columbia.
We thank you for allowing a thriving illegal sex industry, but this is no longer enough.
We as sex consumers are now demanding legalization.
This would come with benefits for you, sex workers, and sex clients.

What I am proposing is a TAX on sex work. Please study the Nevada situation as a model of how this might be done.

As you know, the typical client spends about $170 per transaction.
I would gladly pay a high TAX on these services in return for legalization and lack of harassment.

Sex workers are nice people who need to make money; work is work, people are just trying to get by (especially in this economy).

Sex clients (for the most part) are nice upstanding people, with money which could help fill your coffers in the form of TAX.

Sex work in brothels is safest for workers and clients.
Women get to work in groups which prevents them from being victims of crime.
Men get to purchase labor in a private environment (which does not attract attention from the larger public).

Also, sex workers in brothels are most likely to insist on condom use. This is something that might positively affect the District of Columbia's horrible H.I.V. rate.

Please think about this, please allow us to pay taxes to support society and government.

Also, feel free to contact me for advice or further details.

Thank you.
