I keep hearing that the motels on Route 1 Saugus / Peabody are hourly rate though all the ones I know about seem to charge nightly or weekly. Does anyone know of any motels on the North Shore that charge by the hour?

South Shore 93 line from Boston to Braintree as well?

Dear all,

I am revisiting this topic in order to get some info in case anyone knows more.

I apologize if it is no interest to mostly.

I'd be interested in some short stay motels by the hour around Mass (preferably within the I95 belt).

Any info is greatly appreciated.

THANKS!

All the best,

A.

Have any of you mongers thrown in the towel on Motel 6?. There isn't enough money for me to stay at that place with all the crime, suicides and the excessive prostitution going on there. Even the owners hire off duty Braintree police for security. Anyway, a police officer was nearly killed operating on a warrant. The suspect end up killing himself in the end.

All the best,

A.I've stayed at short stay motels in Seekonk, Ma on the RI border. I used to see a short little spinner down there.

All on Fall River Ave. Knight's Inn or Town and Country. The rooms all have porn on tv. Well used by escorts in the area. I only used during the day.

Anyone ever use the Charles River Inn? Or the Budget Inn south of Dedham?

Anyone ever use the Charles River Inn? Or the Budget Inn south of Dedham? If you mean the Charles River Motel on Nonantum, I'd advise against it. At least half of the place is rented out by the city / state as temporary low income housing. Lots of kids and lots of parents live there.

The Budget Inn on Rt. 1 in Dedham / Westwood was charging by the hour. Not sure if they still do but about 3 years ago I made a couple visits there and the guy at the desk was kinda sketchy. Says they prefer cash which is a good thing and haggled him for 2 hours for 40. He knew what I was there for. Rooms are absolutely disgusting I would much rather do a car visit then pay for it again.

Stay safe, and happy hunting.

Honestly, a hotel / motel that let you book the room for 1-2 hours, for sure knows what you need it for. That means in 2 hours they need to send in the maid to clean up the mess. The labor fee will make it less profitable for the hotel / motel. Hence the messy room and unsafe environment. I never find a place like that anyway.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there's Mac House in Dorchester.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there's Mac House in Dorchester.I heard they stopped doing hourly a few years ago after a girl got raped there (and Uncle LEO started harassing them about hourly rentals). Plus no bathroom in the room, have to use a shared bathroom in the hall. If you do get the room for the night, no keys either, so no going out and coming back.

When it was $25 for two hours I could deal with the negatives, but paying for the whole night I want more.

Stay safe, and happy hunting.

I ended up not going, so can't verify first hand, but I've talked to 2 different girls recently who suggested we go there and that they do hourly.

Affairs are a reality and 50 for 2 hours for a 100 a night room is worth their clean up. Not disagreeing with anyone, just sharing.

Marriott has the mobile key but they are expensive. I just don't want to go into the lobby to checkin in case I know someone.

Marriott has the mobile key but they are expensive. I just don't want to go into the lobby to checkin in case I know someone. Some Hiltons have mobile key as well. Both Marriott and Hilton have mobile key, and some of their less expensive lower end hotel brands (such as Hampton Inn by Hilton or Residence Inn by Marriott) may or may not have mobile key, although they are slowly but surely changing over to mobile key.
