YMMV, indeed, goes without saying in any service type situation. I, being a fairly heavily tattoo'd individual with plans on another full sleeve and full leg piece can fully agree with the "bad tattoos = bad choices".
I really can't stand neck, face, hand tattoos as they are something that would stop me from potentially working in my degreed field which is accounting. I'm also a metalworker by choice and do it as art so if I wanted to I could get tattoo'd to my eyeballs and back. However, as a person in this world there are fields in which I must walk in between.
