Typically when they restore data, they just pick the usual folders (My Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc), transfer it over to a temp location, reformat the HDD (installing windows or whatever other OS you had on it), then moving those files back into some "restore" folder on your new OS for you to sort out when you get time. It's in their best interest not to pry into your data and it's not easy in most shops (where the computer repair area is right in the middle of everyone's desks) to do a deep dive (and copy for your own pleasure) into your stuff.
So 98% sure you have nothing to worry about. They don't care, nor want to know, what you do in your personal time; I mean. Name me a priest that doesn't have shady browser history when taken out of context.

If your drive is partitioned and all your stuff is in any drive other than C, you shouldn't even mention a specific folder. Just tell them you want complete backup of the other drive or don't want those touched.
Also, if you are too paranoid, just open the laptop (YouTube has got videos for literally every make and model), take out the drive, put it in an enclosure ($10) and copy the data on another machine before taking it in for repair.

Plea deals reached for New Berlin mother, daughter in prostitution case.
NEW BERLIN — A New Berlin woman and her mother who both were charged in a prostitution case two years ago entered into plea agreements Friday that reduced the counts against them to a single misdemeanor and saw them sentenced to jail time already served.
The Freeman isn't naming the women to protect the identity of a child of the daughter, as the initial charges against them alleged the child was a victim of neglect.
But the child's mother, 29, and her mother, both were charged with keeping a place of prostitution, child neglect and possession of narcotics in January 2021. The younger woman also was charged with a count of prostitution.
But both pleaded guilty Friday to a count of being party to disorderly conduct and were sentenced to time served in the case. That number was five days spent in jail for the daughter, but online court records did not indicate the number of days the mother served.
The charges came after police used a website known to be used by escorts and arranged a meeting at the defendants' home on Mayflower Drive in January 2020, outlining a conversation the officer had with the daughter discussing prices and sexual acts offered. She was arrested by police outside of her residence; her mother denied at that time that she knew of any alleged prostitution activities there.
Recorded calls between the mother and the daughter while the latter was in the county jail afterward show the mother asked the daughter if she was going to work as a prostitute, and a discussion where the daughter asks her mother to "save my stuff," believed to be a reference to drugs, the complaint said.
On March 17,2020, police were summoned to the house when the daughter suffered a suspected heroin overdose. The complaint said police administered three doses of Narcan to revive the unconscious woman; when police arrived, her 3-year-old daughter was reportedly playing with caps to syringes that were at the child's bare feet.
Police also learned the woman's mother was aware of alleged prostitution activities — both within their home as the father of the household worked third shift and on "outcalls" in the metro area — as well as drug related activities for both their personal use, the complaint said. Police had phone records of several conversations where it was said the mother would open the door for suspected "johns" and even talk with them, where it appeared the mother went to pick up drugs including heroin and cocaine, the complaint said.
Calls to attorneys for the women were not returned Friday.
District Attorney Sue Opper said the reasons for amendment of the charges was the treatment that both women had been engaged in.
"This case has been going on about two years and both have done substantial (alcohol and other drug) treatment and other treatment," Opper said. "It's not unusual when you see cases of prostitution there is oftentimes underlying issues causing the behavior and we were satisfied by addressing these behaviors we won't have repeat issues. They earned the lesser charge based on compliance with treatment and bail conditions and cooperating with police. ".

Arriving at the hotel at about 2 pm March 28, the report said Hansen told the woman he was nervous after seeing a police officer in the lobby. "Well they aren't here for me," the woman replied.

"Just come on up don't act weird," the woman replied. "You're not a cop?" came the question from Hansen's phone.
"No not the law I promise," was the reply. Police officers were reported as positioned throughout the hotel and in a bathroom of the hotel room when Hansen arrived. When he got to the designated room, after small talk about seeing the police, Hansen removed a shoe and presented money he'd kept in a sock, the report said.
"After seeing the money and being unsure if he was going to start undressing, I indicated to the arrest team to enter from the bathroom to arrest Hansen," the report said.
Hansen was taken to the Brookfield Police Department where he was booked and cited for a municipal violation of Brookfield's prostitution ordinance, and given a citation with a bond amount of $2,581 and a non-mandatory court date of April 24 and was released, the report said.
I wonder if police would do a sting at these sketchy motels that a lot of these girls use and the motel / hotel staff know what's going on? If it wasn't for these providers at these motels, they would probably be losing a lot of money each day or maybe even go out of business.

And yes, even with that, could still get busted.It is illegal to offer "anything of value" (roses, $, loans) in exchange for a sex act. During a sting their goal is to get you to talk about both. With someone new you should just say you would like to meet. If they push you to say what you want to do "baby", just say you want to meet. You have not broken the law. If she continues to push you to ask for a sex act, it is probably a cop/sting. When you meet do the LE check and negotiate. If you can't come to terms, leave. If you get arrested, say nothing except, "I want an attorney because they will continue to get you to confess. That is their goal. Cops just arrest, ticket, and write a report. The DA can and likely will drop charges if you have not broken the definition of the law. Jury instructions require jurors to agree that the prosecutor has proven that definition. This guy screwed up. I have been arrested, ticketed, fingerprinted, mugshots, searched, locked up in a jail cell, my things tested for drug residue, (and I'm white) released after 6 hours, and when I met with the DA everything dropped.

2 - If there was an actual victim of HUMAN TRAFFICKING involved.
3 - Illegal narcotics were involved.
4 - Other criminal activity was involved IE... illiegal firearms or robbery.
If any of those conditions existed. Then throw the book at him.
If the HOTEL was having a problem with prostitution, why did the manager simply deny or refuse the use of the room to the handler/manager or prostitute?
I look at it this way. What if the coach had been on a dating site. He met up with the woman at her hotel. He then took the woman to a fancy restaurant bought her a lobster dinner and drinks. They then went back to his house or her hotel and had consensual sex. Is that a crime?
If that is a crime... then IMO then any sex that is not for the sole purpose of procreation could then be a criminal act. If we have two (2) consenting adults where is the CRIME?
Also, doesn't this mean anyone who performs a service in exchange for cash or anything of value also guilty of a crime? Are we going to lock up plumbers, electricians, carpenters, doctors and dentists? Hell I know some employees are treated worse by their employer under worse conditions than what most prostitutes experience when they perform their job... does that mean employers are guilty of a criminal act?
I will agree with those who said the moment he saw LE anywhere in the area of the hotel, he should have bailed. Another option would have been for him to say if this date is on the up and up... meet me at (somewhere close by) and lets have lunch, coffee, or a drink. If they bail it wasn't meant to be.

If that is a crime... then IMO then any sex that is not for the sole purpose of procreation could then be a criminal act. If we have two (2) consenting adults where is the CRIME?
Also, doesn't this mean anyone who performs a service in exchange for cash or anything of value also guilty of a crime? Are we going to lock up plumbers, electricians, carpenters, doctors and dentists? Hell I know some employees are treated worse by their employer under worse conditions than what most prostitutes experience when they perform their job... does that mean employers are guilty of a criminal act?

Another option would have been for him to say if this date is on the up and up... meet me at (somewhere close by) and lets have lunch, coffee, or a drink. If they bail it wasn't meant to be.

Part of the reason I do strip clubs way more than escorts -- I think the last time I saw an escort was a decade ago -- is the risks involved in the escort game, as well as the work required if you want to mitigate the risks. If anything, this is a reminder: Do your research, particularly if you have a lot to lose. I know some of you are willing to TOFTT; I'm not. If she's not well-reviewed by a few customers who have an extensive review history, or affiliated with a provider who is, don't take the chance. As someone else said below, error toward bailing on first sight of any red flags. Live to fight another day. What attempts this guy made to be careful weren't careful enough and he paid dearly.
Obviously it very much sucks for him and he's in a bad spot now, but it's not unrecoverable. The school kinda had to do what it did; parents, particularly in well-to-do suburbs and of girls, are not going to let their daughters spend a lot of time around a guy with any sort of sexual impropriety on his record, no matter how good of a coach he is. But he can probably make the leap to the men's college game as a Division 3 assistant or something, perhaps out of state, have no issues and eventually get back on a path to head coaching if he wants. 1) if there was a major crime committed at a location and you were seen multiple times slowly cruising the area.
2) if a task force was created to stop the prostitution and / or drug scene on the streets of Milwaukee.

If you didn't know by now this is a warning. Fiock is going to end crime with his cameras, Allen Funt himself and all this guy cares about is the money he's going to make infringing upon every ones rights.
There is a lot of people in the legal private sector that aren't going to like it and when you are sitting on your own front porch and the camera is pointed in your direction you are going to feel uncomfortable if not go inside chased off your own porch. What is the false thought that cameras will end crime, everyday you can turn on the TV and see violent crimes being committed and no one does anything about it. What a joke.WoW!
