This exactly what we need!

Watch this video, it shows a practical solution.

If we had a tax on sex work, the quality and availability would rise tremendously, and there would never be another case of police harassment.

"Physical contact between a suspect and a member in one of these undercover operations is prohibited, but as you can imagine, it can also be difficult to control"

By Jim McElhatton

The Washington Times.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. — She told him to take off all his clothes then follow her into the shower room at a downtown Washington massage parlor. He didn't say no.

After all, the man wasn't there for a good time. He was working for taxpayers. He was a police officer, and he was determined to uncover evidence.

So uncover he did.

Trying to build a prostitution case against Jasmine Therapy on a busy stretch of M Street Northwest, the officer lay down in the shower room, and the woman went to work: "She then proceeded to scrub UC's body to include the genital area," according to court papers filed recently by the District in an effort to shut down the business.

The officer's identity, if not much else, was kept private in the court records. And the woman is known only as "D1." She told the officer to turn over,"and D1 again scrubbed UC's body and continued to wash his genital area," court filings say.

After a while, the officer and woman made their way back to a private room, where they agreed on oral sex for money. Before that happened, the officer was satisfied he had the evidence he needed and made an excuse to leave the massage business. Police came back a few days later to conduct a similar operation.

The undercover operations stopped just short of the sort of activity that focused unwanted attention on Spotsylvania County in Virginia a few years ago, when sheriff's deputies received sexual services from "masseuses" during their massage parlor investigations. One deputy even leaving a $350 tip.

Still, Metropolitan Police Department officials say, officers typically don't get naked during investigations. And the department doesn't approve.

"This is not standard practice in these types of operations," Metropolitan Police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said.

"Physical contact between a suspect and a member in one of these undercover operations is prohibited, but as you can imagine, it can also be difficult to control," she said."We will obviously look at this situation to see if the contact could have been avoided."

According to the city's recent D. C. Superior Court filing, Jasmine Therapy has had a history of prostitution arrests. The complaint says the officer stopped by the business about 2:15 pm one day last month. He met an Asian female, described as "D1" in court papers, and the pair walked to "room No. 2," where the woman asked for a $70 "house fee."

The officer gave her $200, the records show.

The defendants named in the civil complaint filed by the D. C. Attorney general's office could not be reached for comment last week, and a hearing in the case is set for this week.

When police raided the business, located on the 1800 block of M Street Northwest, they found "a large quantity of USA currency hidden in lotion dispensers with false bottoms, and hidden condoms."

Authorities said they seized more than $70, 000 overall, including money that D. C. Police officers had paid out during their undercover work.

In court papers, authorities want a judge to order Jasmine Therapy closed, saying it operates as a front for a house of prostitution.

Police raided the business after a different visit by an undercover D. C. Police officer, who also gave $200 after being asked for $70.

According to the complaint, the officer also took off his clothes and headed to the shower room, but declined a massage afterward, saying he didn't have the time. The woman "made a sexual motion simulating intercourse," left the room and returned with a condom, court filings say.

That was when police raided the business, acting on a signal from the officer. The two women, identified only as D1 and D2 in the court papers, were arrested on charges of solicitation and giving massages without a license.

But actually completing the act. The State's Attorney's Office informed them that they had no intention of prosecuting based on that evidence.

These busts will continue until these establishments use certified ladies or get them certified. It won't end the problems but at least it will lend an appearance of a legit business.

We actually need to increase our payments to these angels.

It will increase the quantity and quality of supply.

These girls are well worth it.

Better advice would be to not proposition customers, customers know what they want and will ask for it.

Jasmine had a problem, they were so eager to proposition proposition customers, a little too aggressive.

They would want to skip past massage and everything else to get down and dirty, not a good policy. In retrospect it is easy to see how they were easy prey for LE.

Everyone should read this and give it some thought. When a hot girl is ready to go but is out of condoms, and offers a bare ride if you agree to pull out, it's easy to succumb to temptation. While the odds of heterosexual men getting HIV from a woman are remarkably low, the odds of getting an untreatable dose of clap are much higher.

Even if you have a private stash of antibiotic at home, all but a few are already ineffective. Once the new strain makes its way over here, there are no new treatments in the research pipeline.

Super Gonorrhea: Scientists Discover Antibiotic-Resistant STD.

By KATIE MOISSE.

July 11, 2011.

Scientists have discovered a new strain of gonorrhea-causing bacteria in Japan that is resistant to available treatments.

Since the 1940s, the sexually transmitted disease known as "the clap" has been easily treated with antibiotics. But the new strain of Neisseria gonorrhoeae has genetically mutated to evade cephalosporins. The only antibiotics still effective against the infection.

"This is both an alarming and a predictable discovery," lead researcher Magnus Unemo, professor at the Swedish Reference Laboratory for Pathogenic Neisseria in Örebro, Sweden, said in a statement."Since antibiotics became the standard treatment for gonorrhea in the 1940s, this bacterium has shown a remarkable capacity to develop resistance mechanisms to all drugs introduced to control it."

The discovery, announced by Unemo at the International Society for Sexually Transmitted Disease Research meeting in Quebec City, Canada, could hail gonorrhea's transition from treatable STD to global public health threat.

"While it is still too early to assess if this new strain has become widespread, the history of newly emergent resistance in the bacterium suggests that it may spread rapidly unless new drugs and effective treatment programs are developed," Unemo said in a statement.

Cephalosporin-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae joins methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant enterococci in a sinister class of bacteria known as superbugs. But unlike hospital-acquired MRSA and VRE, which spread where antibiotic use runs high and immune defenses run low, super gonorrhea could spread anywhere.

"This report points out that antibiotic resistance is occurring not only in hospitals, but out in the community," said Dr. William Schaffner, chair of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. And while the strain was disovered in Kyoto, Japan, antibiotic-resistant bacteria "don't need a passport."

Antibiotic resistance is not a new phenomenon. Even for Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which developed resistance to several other antibiotics used before cephalosporins.

"We were concerned about this 20 years ago and combated that very effectively," said Schaffner, explaining how gonorrhea treatments have evolved alongside the bacteria."But if you have a strain that's completely resistant to antibiotics, you have to very quickly develop strategies to recognize the resistant strain and alternative treatment regimens."

Such tests and new treatments could be developed, Schaffner said, but they would likely be more expensive. Amid cutbacks across all facets of research, pharmaceutical companies are investing less in the quest for new antibiotics, he said.

With an estimated 700, 000 new cases each year in the USA alone, gonorrhea is one of the most common STDs. It spreads through direct contact with the penis, vagina, mouth or anus, and can also be transmitted from mom to baby during delivery.

But only 50 percent of infected women and less than five percent of infected men develop symptoms, such as a burning sensation and discharge. Left untreated, the infection can spread to the skin, blood and other organs causing pain, infertility and even death.

A July 8, 2011, report from the USA Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urged doctors to be on the lookout for gonorrhea resistant to cephalosporins, and to report cases promptly.

The new superbug serves as a reminder that antibiotic resistance is a problem that spreads beyond hospital and nursing home walls.

"We need to implement a program so that pharmaceutical companies are motivated financially to pursue research in developing antibiotics," Schaffner said."And both the public and professional have to be much more rigorous in their expectations and use of antibiotics."

xespecially those who are running **** girls.

i'd rather they focus their operations on those doing real trafficking instead of adult women who make their own choices.

sadly, they still blur everything together as "trafficking" and ignore the women who put up their own ads and book their own appointments.

Wow... It's only about a 12-hour drive or one-hour plane flight from DC to any number of eastern Canadian cities.

On a related note, I wonder if they would mind if we borrowed their Supreme Court for a little while?

Article in today's WaPo re stings and crackdowns on providers in Logan Circle and DuPont Circle area. Mentions the hotels where the stings have been set up. Also mentions warnings posted in forums on the oThER site. Be careful out there.

Question for senior members. How do agencies manage to avoid getting busted when these crackdowns happen. LE obviously monitors sites like this and can access agency sites and calendars. Is it that LE is satisfied with mainly going after providers and hobbyists that find each other via BP and Craig's List?

Notice they're working their way up the food chain. Do you see any DC AMPs anymore? Street scene? BP busts now. Do a search on Atlanta prostitution bust. That wasn't BP or CL.

See the pattern?

Is it that LE is satisfied with mainly going after providers and hobbyists that find each other via BP and Craig's List?Years ago, pre-Internet, I used to procure the services of an escort agency in a distant city. Since you actually had to call a phone number and talk to a real person, I got to know the owner of this agency because I was a regular. He told me that agencies were generally left alone if they did two things:

1. Remained low-key.

2. Paid their taxes.

These days, I would add "No Drugs" to the list.

I can't comment on #2, but I think we all can think of a time that we bailed because the visibility was more than we could handle. I remember visiting an incall traveling provider at her hotel during the afternoon. There were tons of maids and day staff roaming the halls and here I was going up to a room as a visitor in the middle of the afternoon. I only did that once. How many times did we visit an AMP in DC in broad daylight? Heck, I remember visiting Shell Green and meeting the guy who lived upstairs when he appeared on his balcony.

Yep, it's risky and the cops can take down any of us anytime they want.

I was surprised to see this in the Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/are-dc-residents-really-ready-to-live-in-a-city-thats-a-sex-tourist-destination/2019/08/09/ad2109e2-ba22-11e9-a091-6a96e67d9cce_story.html.

I hadn't seen this reported outside of an opinion piece, so I couldn't say how serious it is.
