The second type has contributed, sometimes greatly, and has usually done so even before reaching the 25-post mark. Even if someone has reached the 25-post mark, if his contributions have provided little of value, he won't truly be accepted as a real senior (despite the post count) and, as a result, other seniors will be less inclined to share information with such a senior. They especially won't share info via backchannel PMs.
So, what to do? Like A2 said: Start giving information, useful and real and new information. And, how do you obtain such information? By going out and, through the expenditure of your own valuable time and hard-earned money, experiencing the hobby first-hand. You see, information is the Coin of the Realm here on the USASG.
