Once the city decided to eliminate it, THEY DID. That was several years ago. It may have re-emerged since then. Time will tell, heaven or hell.

I myself don't see it as a problem but the strong side of the law does. I want to ask you this guys, the war on drugs has been going on for 20+ years in america and Nashville drug interdiction has always been working to get rid of drugs and the simple fact is that its a joke. I don't care how hard they try there are still going to be women who wants easy money and guys like us who want easy fun. Nuff said.

Metro has certainly demonstrated success with MP's, clubs, streetwalkers, and the low-hanging fruit on BP. Shutting down the whole Internet-based hobby is another matter.
Wary providers and clients have years of cat-and-mouse experience with local enforcement efforts, I believe that a careful core will always carry on.
We have yet to see the full impact of surging libertarian interest (both from the right and left), pot decriminalization and same-sex rights being two examples; the long-range view concerning the hobby may follow those trends.

I know for a fact that Government or someone with big BUCKS wants to track you down on the internet they can.
I had a best friend, have it done to him from a another country across the pond. All he did was let a wife know their their husband was making them look like a fool. He created a yahoo account then created a hotmail account from that. Then from a hotel wifi he sent a short email with the facts.
It involved the women's children and he was concerned about the children going to someone who was fucking her husband and laughed about how dumb the wife was and didn't really like the children. The wife was going to leave the children to this Siren in case of death or emergency. He was always told the wife had more money than god.
She did and was able to track him down to his company laptop in a very short time period. Scary! Her legal council contacted the company HR and legal he worked for.
That was over 10 years ago so I'm sure they can do more now.
So Beware of big brother or chicks with more money than God!

Saw this not long ago. I noticed that a person or two were also part of the bust that happened in Gville about a month ago. Stay away from them or you can become collateral damage if you know what I mean. Notice they said "other charges could follow after they receive proper search warrants to open the electronic devices"; guess that would mean cell phones and things like that. Stay safe out there.

I'm from very near Louisville and have gotten to know 5 different providers here (in L-ville) personally because of frequent visits and dates. Each one of them have been arrested more than once for a variety of charges but never prostitution. These providers are all pretty much the cream of the crop in the louisville area and there are other extremely attractive ladies that have arrests, but never prostitution. On the other hand, there are several busts for prostitution in this area and in most if not all cases the providers and are very unattractive and looks are very hard. Maybe most of the good looking ones are safe here just because of looks and (favors and cash to you know who) and the unattractive ones are picked on for prostitution. Its just an opinion but most of you understand what I'm saying. So, in N-ville it just may not be tolerated much at all.

This isn't a provider who ever serviced Nashville, but it's relevant to whatever extent this is going to present a safety alert to the providers or the hobbyists. This could certainly fuel LEO attention, but, at the same time, serves as a grim reminder about personal safety issues.

Four Nashville area massage parlors were raided Monday afternoon in connection to a prostitution case.
Officers simultaneously raided Golden Massage on Abbott Martin Road in Green Hills, Daily Massage on North Gallatin Pike in Madison, ABC Massage on Franklin Pike in Berry Hill, and Acupressure Treatment Center on 4th Ave South near downtown.
Detectives are investigating whether women working at the four massage parlors were being trafficked.
Nashville's News 2 found ads for all four businesses on the Web site Backpage.com.
One local business owner in Berry Hill near ABC Massage told News 2 he hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary. He said the business attracted mostly men but was "quiet.".

When I told her, she tried to brush it off as just some people picking up pizza (in a car, WTF? I'm standing about a block from the hotels parking lot when I see a marked police car drive out and start patrolling the streets. She kept trying to get me to come up. I've never had a provider try so hard to convince me she wasn't LEO, they get just as spooked as us, so that confirmed it for me and I drove home. Scary to think how close I was.

-Jeepster1.A few years back, I was traveling to SF on a semi regular basis on business, and RB was hands down the go-to site. For a while, I would check it almost daily. It always provided reliable info, no matter if you were looking for an escort, AMP, sure-thing extras in a strip club (one of my favorite activities out there, LOL), live sex shows when those still existed, SWs (never my thing) and just about any kind of commercial sex activity imaginable. Not sure if any of you saw the wife earlier this year and early summer. She would hang out on M'boro Road in front of DaysInn, usually around 2 am- 4 am. On way home this evening I stopped for gas in area where 'stars motel' is on Mboro Road. I noticed a decent looking female walking up the street. Went to check her out and she got in my car, probably bad idea now that I think about it. Immediately I recognized the face, said name was Nikki. Girl definitely has a nice body on her, slim and firm from what I could tell. For a city as small as Nashville we have a disproportionately large police force. I've lived in much bigger cities where you could drive around all day and maybe see one cop. Each year they have an article in the newspaper about the record year in fine revenues the police generated. Law enforcement is a business disguised as protection in this city.
It is quite interesting where Law Enforcement chooses to spend it's time. Non-revenue producing rape investigations, nah. Tennessee has over 7000 of those outstanding cause they can't make any money from them. Homicide, nah. No money there either.
Let's see where are our forfeiture laws? Where LE can seize any asset they can make any non-sense claim that an asset the Police covets is associated with crime. Oh yea, first non-violent drug cases. Not getting into that one on this forum. Next, Tennessee just passed a law in which assets may be seized in a similar manner to drug laws except they changed it to human trafficking. Now I'm not for human trafficking, but the Police have already abused these laws and targeted LEGITIMATE Chinese Massage Businesses with these laws.

When they law permits seizure of all assets they "claim" is associated with the crime then one alleged human trafficker who also owns a business or multiple business they stand to make a killing. BTW. These seizure laws are guilty until proven innocent. Your property is gone until you are proven innocent, even then it can take years to retrieve your assets from the Police.

The argument that Non-Violent crime leads to more violent crime is not completely accurate. This is the same argument that Marijuana prohibitionist use, the Gateway argument. Both of these scenarios are correlated but not causal. Thus the logic that preventing non violent crime will prevent violent crime is flawed.
Your argument seems to condone allowing rape kits to go unprocessed etc. In the idea that focusing on SW will stop violent crime. I don't buy this line of logic.
The hobby is a consensual act between two adults. This SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME under the constitution our country was founded upon. The only reason it is a crime is the influence of the Christian Right who want to enforce their morals on the entire population of the United States.

It's perfectly realistic to be concerned about all the negatives of the street scene. Most of us are lucky enough to live some distance from the action; I think all of us would share a NIMBY sentiment to some degree.

I woke up and thought "what the hell that was all about?"When these kinds of raids happen they are generally not going to catch any guy actively engaged in any sex because any guy with any brains is going to jump off the table & start putting his skivvies on as soon as he hears the commotion as the cops crash through the front door! Unless they can actually catch the guy in the act they do not have any evidence against him! Even if the gal is naked in the room with him & accuses him of paying her to do something illegal they do not have any evidence to corroborate her accusation, even if there is still a large amount of cash on some side-stand or table really all they could do is confiscate the cash; if the gal accuses the guy of paying her for genital-contact or any other sexual activities, which is usually just a simple misdemeanor, then she is confessing to committing the crime of "prostitution" herself which could be either a felony or a misdemeanor depending on the individual circumstances of her case. What the cops count on in these raids, in so far as any customers that are there during the raid, is that the guys will be so scared by the raid that they will say something to incriminate themselves! remember that any guy who trys to "talk his way out of trouble" will ALWAYS say something that the cops can "twist" to use AGAINST him! All that is required by Law is that any person questioned by the cops is required, under the penalty of the Law, to identify him-self (or her-self) with his / her correct LEGAL name: beyond that anything else that he {YOU} say "can, & willl, be used against" him{YOU}!
