So, he apparently is going to cooperate with MPD to deal with both of these leaches and MPD is going to use security footage from the hotel to help with the case. I will at least say that he has some guts going to MPD and basically giving them the info to bust them (I didn't have it in me) , though with the way Memphis' judicial system works, they will probably both be back out in a matter of weeks or months.
Now, I have checked the Sheriff's site and Courtney's husband "Bo" (Elbert) was booked shortly after 2pm today, so they have apparently found him and arrested him. I can only guess that she isn't far behind. Hopefully, they find her soon. I will certainly keep my ads going on Backpage until I'm sure she's in jail and staying there for awhile. In the meantime, you better remember what she looks like, as she will likely pop back up whenever they get out (which, as I said, unfortunately probably won't take long).

Thanks for your update.Yeah, I saw that they got Elbert on the DUI charge. It took them awhile to list what the charge was, so my assumption was that they had either charged him with either robbery or theft of property. Unfortunately, it was neither. He was freaking passed out a gas station on Jackson while the car was still running and someone called the pole. They both have a long history with a multitude of drugs (crack, meth, heroin and various pills). I hope the guy who got robbed didn't suddenly get cold feet on this one but I guess its possible.

The thing is, these women are desperate, and the guy usually isn't. I have flagged and flagged but I don't think the ads will come off.I am not sure how many reports it takes for an ad to come down. My hope is that if we get enough people, that we could bring her ads down. Keep in mind that you probably have a static IP address, so I am not sure that your flagging the same ad multiple times will actually get counted as more than one flag. I am thinking that a Backpage ad needs to be reported a certain number of times by different IP addresses but I don't know what that number is.

Let me simplify. For example if you send a letter with your name on it, no matter where you send it from the recipient will always know its YOU. With internet protocol addresses its the same, you can change wifi locations and the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol will do the IP assignment for that area of wifi pool numbers and dedicate it to your pc, laptop or whatever. But your device will always be recognized by the NOC. The wifi locale changes and uses Network and Broadcast addresses. Your personal device can link to that using that DHCP superset but it will recognize you as the user / owner of that particular device. The hardware is set and can't be changed. It sounds to me that if Backpage wants to know if a bunch of different IP addresses are coming from the same computer they have to ask the owner of the DHCP for the matching MAC address (and only your personal ISP is going to be able to match your MAC address to your personal account). The DHCP is probably owned by the different service providers involved, each of which will tell Backpage that they would happily comply if they would just get a law enforcement agency to make the request. LE couldn't be bothered unless there is an arrestable offense involved for them to put a notch in their proverbial belts.
So this is all very technically enlightening and may be of practicle use at some time, but not now.

The IP will only come back to the provider and not the subscriber. Subscriber info would require legal process. It's that whole ECPA thing they passed. For instance, I could give you my IP and MAC address right now and there's no way you can tell who I am. The NOC would be able to flag my MAC, but I have about 10 devices. Then after that I would just spoof my MAC and start all over again.
