As far as "the market" goes, one would wonder if this will raise the going rate due to possible more difficult ways of finding a plethora of girls like BP. Or does it lower the rate when the girls have less of a mainstream way to advertise.

Someone was putting a lot of effort into it. I had dismissed it as someone running a botnet, or trying to inject referral links for adult sites (affiliate commissions).
Regardless, be a bit more conservative over the next few days, until we have more intel.

Or maybe they'll outlaw sex advertising entirely on the Internet and sex workers will advertise via personal ads, and personal ads will be useless for anything else.
Bottom line: none of these attempts at censorship will address the problem of human trafficking. Nor does it help when the cops claim that they've caught human traffickers whenever they've done nothing more than to entrap mongers.
There are things that would probably help. Like a truly anonymous phone line to which hobbyists could report suspected cases, and legalizing sex work so that it wouldn't be underground. But those things won't happen either, because too many people in this country believe that the government must have zero tolerance for anything that's sexually immoral.

I was stationed in a foreign country where prostitution was legal and it wasn't Holland. There wasn't this stigma to prostitution that is here in the US. Also, it wasn't a haven for sex traffickers. Women had to have a license and medical exams regularly. If there was a complaint by either worker or john, it was handled like any other legal encounter. Nothing was shady or under the table. How can legalized prostitution help human trafficking? IF a man comes in contact with a kid right now, nature will probably takes it's course and the man will find a way to keep it hush hush. After all, if he says anything, he is just as guilty of solicitation as the girl is of prostitution. So far, I've been lucky, all of the women I've seen have been women. But imagine it's legal. More men, perhaps some with different morals, may participate without the fear of police interference. Some other person may call the encounter off and call the police immediately. He's not guilty of anything and the girl is rescued.
What about people whose spouses die and they've got some age on them. They can't necessarily "date" but they still have the urges that all men have. With legalization, people can take care of natural urges without having to go through the awkward situation of trying to date a woman or seduce her.
The dirty little secret. The government isn't forcing backpage to shut down adult classifieds. They can run them for free. BUT just like craigslist, adult services advertising has a fee. The government can ask credit card companies to quit payments to backpage. Can they stop PayPal? Can they stop BitCoin. Other advertisers will come up. I don't think it matters what generation they are from communication between each other in this day and age is a challenging task. If they stand or hold you up the consequences aren't as dire if we do it to them.
On the flip side this is not a conventional lifestyle by any means. Odd hours, days and requests should be both expected and honored. I have myself requested 3 and 4 AM appointments myself due to my schedule and a quality provider should both prepare and offer that as part of their service.

I've tried to set up with either of these a couple of times with no luck at all. Initial conversations good, Then spotty texts.
