What ever happened to the Truckers Motel up on Hwy 9 in Bennetsville?, I took some girls there once or twice? Is it closed? . Somebody said they bulldozed it down?

New Sheriff closed it down years ago. Don't know if it was demolished or not.

Shady Pines fell about the same time frame.

Too bad. That place was a real throwback in time. I miss it.

South of the Border? Is it still open? Any good? I actually stayed at the motel there during part of the flood.

Too bad. That place was a real throwback in time. I miss it.The building is still there, all growed up around it, a few windows broke out.

I get by it about once a month, some good memories from back into the 80's when I lived 20 miles away.

And I stayed broke but happy.
