I have had a UTR completely ruined by being naïve enough to think that my sharing some info would stay private. I went to see her about a couple of weeks later and she went hardcore on me. Turns out not only did someone I trusted give her number out but they also posted it on a now defunct review site. That's the only truly safe option BUT that's not what I said either. I was just warning you about whom you do or do not share with. I myself take a whole bunch of things into account when deciding which guys I do or don't share with. The ladies preference would be a major factor as well.
As an example, in the past one lady preferred YOUNGER guys with myself as the upper limit of her age range so that limited some guys from getting referred. I always ASK if I can share her info. Some will say no. A problem comes up when I share with Tom or Dick then they go and tell Harry to say Gansett sent him. I remained a friend and she went back to an old boyfriend (someone from the wrong side of the tracks who had kind of dragged her over there to join him). Unfortunately, she never deleted our original email communications, which the bf got access to. A situation I was unaware of until she recently hit financially troubles again, contacted me for (platonic) support, just food money (I hope, ugh) to which I agreed, not realizing the bf was still in the picture and reading her communications. He called me today, furious, and threatened to go to my employers with the illicit CL emails of our original encounter from a year ago. I don't have a family but obviously want to protect my career and good name at all costs. I did my best to convince the bf over 20 minutes that the recent contact between her and me was purely innocent (which it was), but I also suspected she had misrepresented the facts to him and wondered whether she had also contacted other old clients and shown up with too much cash or otherwise done something that needed explaining. I don't know. I'm pretty sure I mollified the bf (the guy was not after money from me, fortunately, just jealous as hell and wanting answers) , but the incident left me shaking and was the single worse experience I've had since entering the hobby. It was ironic that while I'm sure many of the women I've seen have had bf's and husbands while they were providers, it was a flat-out misunderstanding that has come closest to wrecking things for me.
I'm hoping the other shoe won't drop and I'm feeling deeply foolish over how I merged the two parts of my life; though, to justify myself, you had to have seen the girl originally: very pretty, smart, college-educated, nice family. Just with a lot of hidden baggage that ended up mostly wrecking her life (and mine? I hope not).

Sounds like you used your "real" email and phone number in your pursuit of stress relief. Both big no-no's. All mongers need seperate email, like a yahoo, g-mail, hotmail etc and a untraceble Wally World like monger phone.

Big no no, if they have servers that are backed up then there are copies elsewhere.
Hope it all works out and word to others like Gansett said use another email account and don't fall for gmail tying your email accounts together.

A very good friend of mine was arrested at his own house for soliciting sex on here. I spent 6 hours at the state police last night waiting to get him released. They gave him a court date to appear next month. Seems it doesn't matter if you ask for Roses or even help with school books its still considered solicitation and it seems they know all the key words. So be careful whether you host or travel to them it doesn't matter if your looking for " help " they will help you into their cruiser in hand cuffs like they did to my friend Josh last night.

They got to be REALLY busy with 50 pages of Backpage direct solicitations (mind you, I realize that many are repeats). Is this whole thing possible? Sure. Is it likely to have occurred? It is highly unlikely. I follow the old adage that the police (local and state) really and truly have their hands FULL with daily run of the mill policing matters and the vast majority of the time when something happens it is the direct result of their having received very specific calls from do-gooders in a given neighborhood who see many people entering and leaving a specific address (same applies to drugs as well). They observe it for a while and then set up a sting when it looks likely to catch someone. The police are NOT going to have some chick go to your home, enter your home, get a bit comfortable and THEN somehow get you to mention the cash for service aspect of the visit. If you have not noticed lately, lots of bad people out there and she could be dead before they have time to swoop. And more than that, to arrange this for a private residence without complaint is creating a problem which never even occurred. So, in the final analysis, such a posted message is nice but the whole thing is WAY far fetched. (IMHO)

Yes, more often than not it is a spam response that I will get that will lead me to a website that wants me to join with a credit card. Every now and then I hit the jack pot. There is always someone new coming along that is knew to CL or finds that they really do need tuition or car repair help and we both end up winners. I work in High Tech, I know a few cops, and I know for a fact that for LE to come to your house that they must first have a court order and the order is to obtain your ISP address (Internet service Provider). You don't even have to be a cop to find this out. There is a website just for searching out a person's ISP number. Every time you receive an e-mail from someone and you go into the options box and look at the header-it will show the ISP number. It is like a finger print of you. If the PD did come into Josh's 3 decker in Central Falls, then all he had to do is say " I didn't put that ad out. One of my friends must have done it while I was asleep ". Thus "No proof" or as they say in court "Reasonable Doubt". You never bring up court orders, or ISP addresses in your blog. I am having a very hard time believing this occurred. I would be curious to see if this incident shows up on Fox news or the Providence Journal. I just can't see WPRI news at 11 saying a RHODE ISLAND man was arrested for solicitation from his home computer and was behind bars for 6 hours!

HAH, I did not respond to any ads, SHE responded to one of mine. Sent the pic of her (2nd jpeg) in front of the Old Canteen looking towards Downtown Prov, recognized "la Pigna" and the Hilton in the background. Figuring she was real, I pursued a time slot.
