Lookee here. Some excellent points made here by 007, from my view. But it does bring up a much-discussed issue on these forums. I can certainly not blame any provider for taking any precaution that she can. And it is dangerous out there, probably more than most of us know. At the same time, some providers can be overly cautious, and this might even be elevated when clients, claiming to have their best interests at heart, are constantly warning them about seeing this guy or that guy. I don't think that is what 007 is talking about here, just wanted to toss it in, since I think that is how this round of the topic was started.

I am, personally, to the point that if I encounter a YMMV in sloppy scheduling or performance, I don't bother to post it, for fear of the defenders that are likely to appear and say it's a bogus post. I will post the scams, and creme de la cremes. The YMMVs are possibly far too numerous when you consider how many of us post here to avoid it becoming too cluttered, anyway, not to mention, as 007 points out, it is just possible that we made a mistake. As far as the sloppy scheduling, I do wish providers understood that most of us would not be offended by a cancellation as early as possible, or if it's a transportation, babysitter, or any other issue, scheduling tentavely or saying I am unavailable, rather than simply blowing someone off, and calling it a safety issue. This happens far too often.

There are 2 providers that advertise on BP darn near every day, usually 2 or 3 times, neither of whom are too interested in screening, but I know to be legit. Legit in the sense that they aren't going to get us ripped off or in trouble. So the lack of screening doesn't concern me. One of the two rarely answers calls, and I mean rarely. And the other is not averse to scheduling and blowing off a client without notice. These can't be explained away by "feeling unsafe." Another BP advertiser, admittedly infrequent, does show a pretty good desire to screen (Good for her!). I have contacted this one, provided references and scheduled, and when the confirmation time arrived, hmmm, no-call no-show. The references provided I know to be fine, so she has no defense other than sloppy scheduling. She quoted me a rate as being "all-exclusive", prompting me to confirm that it meant full-service. Taken literally, I could see it meaning the opposite, so if she was spooked by that simple question, who knows? Even if so, the references should have eased her mind. If you get a lady quoting "all-exclusive services", you'll know of whom I speak. I won't post names of any of these, and I'm sure someone, somewhere along the line has had a good time, but far more are being scheduled and no-showed. T-Mob offers a $ 100 pre-paid card for 1000 mins which are good for a yr. Trac fone is ok but the mins expire after 30 days. So I would compare Virgin, T-Mobile and Trac fone and depending upon your needs select what fits you best.

Not sure about what Jim's concern about a store having NO cameras. I guess if you desire to be super slueth about the purchase then there is no public record of you making the purchase. But all of these pre-paid plans mentioned will have no paper trail to your home. Walmart of any other department store sells these phones but then they have surviellance cams.
