The only brothels I've heard of in Durham were Hispanic joints that I would never pull my dick out at. If you do find a brothel then I would suggest you share the info with senior members you trust instead of the general board. Over the years I've seen a few news stories about brothels being busted but they were usually run out of some place in a not so good neighborhood. I guess given the money in the area, there could be one that doesn't run afoul of the law, but I doubt it would be in my price range. If there is a large Asian or eastern European population somewhere in Raleigh I wouldn't be surprised if they had brothels since I know there are brothels that Hispanic guys go to.
As others mentioned there is Quality Bath House (search the forum it's been mentioned more than once in the last 2 months). AFAIK it used to have hot tubs but they were taken out, some rooms have mirrors on the ceiling and depending on the girl you can get a great massage. For the most part it, along with Tom Cats, is a jack shack. I'll neither confirm nor deny this but with competition from backpage it seems that at Quality you can negotiate a bit more than the handshake you would get from an AMP. The downside is that you will probably pay more, a fact that I think causes the parking lot to hardly ever have cars. Middle of the road backpage chicks do hh for around 120 which generally gets you half and half. Many body rubs on backpage run about the same 120 with a BJ or HJ at the end. AMPs run around 70 for the hour massage plus anywhere from 30-80 depending on the guy so let's say 120 again. A trip to quality or tom cats will set you back 60-100 (hh vs hr) plus what you negotiate with the girl which tends to start at what you pay for the door fee. That means that if you hypothetically get 1 hr of FS you'll probably pay 300+ which is the price of an IMO high dollar escort. Of course fun could be had for less depending on how often you guy and the girl so let's say that a hh trip to quality where you leave with more than a HJ will all together cost 180. For just the HJ you could be out at 120, but you're probably only talking a 15 minutes massage if that. The big upside is that some of the workers are fetish friendly so at least at quality you might be able to explore some things that the standard BP pump and dump girl won't. The variety in girl can also be there with a couple being really attractive. I don't go to AMPs as much as some guys here but rarely do I see a worker who is attractive. BP in the area also seems to be on a bit of a downswing as some of the better looking ones have found regulars who have been willing to pay 2-3 x the standard rate.
Anyways, quality isn't hard to find if you drive down Holloway heading away from the city. I can't promise that it's the land of milk and honey, but it's a good alternative when AMPs are busy and backpage isn't doing it for you.Joe Looking post said it all.

Man I would strongly suggest doing your own search and discovery (as always) this has been a subject of multiple discussions in the past years. I have heard about this place and rumor has it that you have to be invited by someone who is a regular. You can't just walk in and expect to be serviced. The part of Durham you are referring to is about from the mid town area on Main Street headed back toward Duke.
If you go from mid town east away from Liggett and Duke it gets worse and when you go over the RR tracks on Main Street it gets dangerous. The street walkers are all over Liberty St. And Holloway St. , not really my thing I'm more comfortable with an Asian woman in a clean room.
I know this area well so my point is be careful when you cross that line and get deep into east Durham there is some gang shit going on all the time. I knew a guy that had a girl in his car and was trying to find a spot and noticed a car following him thought it was LE, turned out to be a dealer the ***** (that's her job title) owed him some money he was all up on the guys ass blowing the horn. Got back to Eden in Cary, some dude walked in while I was getting serviced. He was talking very loud and asked to use the bathroom, then came out and went into a room with a girl. Long time monger but it is really getting boring lately. There must be a better, more exciting option. Had some free time the other day so took a trip to Rose Health. First time there and not too hard to find, but Google Maps does bring you a couple buildings short. So I hate to them at that I've been here in the past and never got to report. I went back in January when they were running the 45 minute for $45 special. First time I went it seemed as though something may be a possibility on a future visit the next time I was ran around and waited over an hour and a half beyond my scheduled appointment. When the store does change ownership for real it is rarely advertised because the same girls usually stay. Nothing beats Xhippie's advice to leave the wallet in the car. If you do bring it in, Some AMP's have little plastic zipper shaving bags that you can put your wallet / keys / phone in and keep the bag with you during the TS and back at the room. Driving down Hillsborough Street the other day and noticed that there's a new AMP (I'm guessing) next to Jade Garden & Phoenix Tattoo. 1. Fairbanks Rd. Off of Leesville Rd. The place is across the st. From Arby's there are a few signs on the yard with the place name. I drove in the parking lot and there is nothing that appears to be open no cars at all in the lot I just didn't have the vibe to get out of my car and knock on the door. Who knows it could have been a good experience but just didn't have that feeling.
2. you Relax on Hillsboro St Raleigh.
The first issue is there is no where to park without getting towed. I parked down by Irrerardless Cafe it's a short walk. Go to open the door LOCKED! There is an old faded sign saying use other door but there is no other door then I noticed the open sign was not on. Knocked nothing, stared at the camera a few minutes nothing.
Both of these visits are on a Sat. Around lunch time you think these places would be jumping.
My experience, YMMV.

I have been eyeing this establishment and finally took the plunge. First of all let me say that the girls on their website are not accurate. The OWNER has a massage license to open the store then he or she fills it with girls with no license. If the girls get popped he or she lays low then re-opens later. Now any owner opening a store with no license is laying all their cash on the line huge gamble. It is rare you will have a female owner with a license working in the store doing the dirty deed she knows this risk lets someone else get popped. They have yet to go after the owner or landlord for having a girl doing massage with no license that I am aware of. The biggest problem for the owner is they have to let things cool down and find new girls takes a little time and cost them their daily take. Worst case they sell the store for a profit. As far as the girls that get popped they move on to another city. As the news article stated these are misdemeanor crimes. Their biggest fear is one of our old fat ass's has heart failure getting a HJ.

The only time someone gets in trouble is if there is a complaint or if something goes wrong. For example, I used to know a chick who braided hair, did perms and what not out or her apartment for years without getting in trouble. She only had problems when a former customer had an issue with scalp burn and turned her in. Another example is a guy I know who works in construction. He was telling me that one site he worked on was having electrical work on homes done by illegals with little to no supervision and that the site had no journeymen electricians. He told me he felt sorry for anyone who bought the home because if something went wrong with their electrical system and the house burned down the insurance company could refuse to pay if they find out proper regulations weren't followed.
Given the rent at a lot of malls I'm sure nobody questions the legitimacy of the place.
Went back to superelax on hwy 54.

Has anyone visited the Garner area AMP and left successful?
Crazy dream that went like this. With all the ice being put on the AMPs in Cary I decided to visit VIP. I hadn't been there before and it's reported to offer more than the usual fare. On the map it doesn't look that far but it sure seemed to take forever to get there. Google maps also directed me to the wrong location and I had not seen that reported yet. They have a new manager who is really nice so that was a surprise especially after reading about previous one. I pay the house fee which is $80 and I'm directed to a fairly nice private room. The music is classical with a decent volume but the massage table does not have a hole for your face so your neck could get a little kinked. I had also asked on the phone and in person if I could see who was going to do the massage and was told yes but that never happened. All they said was "you like". I get prepared and in walks about a 6/10 with no figure, 28 years old and rubber boots. I stayed because I drove the distance and I already paid the house fee. So lets see where this goes. I was asked about a table shower which I normally don't do but I decided what the heck. We go the the shower and I'm hosed down like an elephant in the zoo. Soap was applied with a loofah, which I hate, rinsed again and told to flip. Loofah the front and then here's the big surprise. She tosses the loofah on my stomach and says "you clean". Hmmmmmmmm, things are not going as planned. I asked her to do it and she declined. I thought maybe it was a test and went with it. She barely dries me off and we head to the room. A few weeks ago I went to Green Apple in Cary for I think my 3rd visit. Walk in the usual girl takes me to the room and says you get ready. Believe me, I know how to act and I didn't go in with any preconceived notions of anything. I stuck with it for over a half hour until her demeanor was just more than I could take. You weren't there. She was a biatch from the start and I'm being nice. Not trying to flame just stating facts that you weren't there. There also hasn't been a review of VIP in a while so I thought it was timely. Had a dream I visited #33 on the list yesterday. My first visit here. Place is not well marked, just an Open sign at the end of the little strip mall.
Door was locked so I knocked, greeted by Linda with a big hug. Not the best looking, a little chubby but not bad, Chinese, maybe in her 30's or so, pretty good rack.
Rooms were good, seemed clean, walls all the way to the ceilings, no TS. I had some back pain and she worked it out, tons of teasing before the flip which was very nice.

However, in general if you call for a "Massage" there, you will actually get someone who brings a portable massage table to your room and gives you a real massage. No more.
