Was in the area a few weeks ago for a show. Went to Shenanigans as it was the closest club to Amsterdam. Small club. 2 drink min, & $10 cover. Bar took up 70% of the space. Main stage was pretty much non exhistant. Fully clothed "lap" dances are available for what ever you want to tip. Most were doing half a song for $5. VIP dances are available next door at the porn shop. Its just a jack shack. $50 for the house plus tips for the dancer. Olga talked me into it, she cost $60. Private room with couch, she got naked, tried to get me naked. But its do it yourself, no extras. Well no extras with her but I didn't ask since there is a camera in there and a big sign that states "DO NOT ASK FOR ILLEGAL SERVICES!" VIP is definatly not worth the money. Overall the girls were very attractive and some just stunning. If you arm yourself with lots of small bills you can have a good time and spend less then a hundred.

I totally agree that the $2 lap dances are the best aspect of this club. Even if you think you want a more private dance, you can at least try different girls out, see which ones you click with. I have made the mistake of buying a private dance with a girl who was hot but didn't give a great "intro" lap dance, and I've been sorry every time.
One tip about private dances at Nite Moves: They offer 2-for-1 specials at odd times throughout the evening, and if you've had a private dance with a girl once before (and tipped her well, and treated her nicely) she'll almost always be willing to help you get a 2-for-1 token even if they aren't officially running the special (I. E. The blue light isn't flashing). I usually tip double for a 2-4-1, but at least I save the second house fee.
The one bummer about Nite Moves is that the dances are fairly tame, in my experience. On the other hand, the clubs in Rensselaer County seem to be more touchy-feely. That was especially true of Cloud 9, may it rest in peace. I, too, miss Cloud 9. That place had gone through four or five name changes, and I kept going back hoping it would turn into something decent, and every time, I walked away disappointed. Until one day I was surfing for any local strip club info, and discovered that Cloud 9 now had way positive reviews, and a website. It also seems like the private dances are a little friendlier than they used to be, so there's a silver lining. On the other other hand, one of the things that really sucks about the $10 table dances is that most of the money goes to the house. So, all in all, I think you can still have a good time at NM if you know there's a girl you click with working on a particular night and you just go straight in and get with her. It's more expensive to experiment. I'm not sure how often I'll be going back there, either.

This is a very late report primarily because I forgot all about posting it. However, I decided to post it now because it seems it has gotten some negative reports on another site dedicated to strip clubs.
I was in town back in late October for about a week. I am from the area but haven't spent much time there since 1986. OK, but will point out this review basically gives no info for someone interested in trying this place.

Anyway, when I went, which was early to mid afternoon, there was no cover charge. I would assume there is one at night but don't know for sure since I have never been there at night. If I recall correctly, I think the tops stayed on at the bar (if I am not mistaken about that, not sure if it has anything to do with state law where liquor is sold). I am not sure if there is a standard price for a barside dance but the dancer that I sat with (Toni) told me that she can not legally quote a price for barside dances. The couch dances were only topless, up close and personal with a bit of friskiness thrown in there, and little problem with fairly liberal roaming. Although I did get a somewhat of a "not there" look when my hand "slipped" down a little too far I guess. Still she wasn't mean or unfriendly about it. There was a chalkboard with dance prices. I think it was like $60 for four songs but one could buy less songs if they wished. For me, she was worth the price of couch dances.

How hot are the girls at CH?They've got everything from 5s to 9s with the occasional 10 but really it all comes down to attitude. You can get a really shitty dance from an uptight mechanical 10 or you can get your mind blown by really fun 5. Like most clubs they have a pretty high turn over so you just need to keep an eye out. OK had a very very good time at Blue Moon recently.

I've never gone to a club and not anticipated spending between $300 and $600, but back home we can bring our own alcohol (as long as it's unopened before you enter) which helps fuel the rain train, and all dancing is full nude, stage, table, private, VIP.
Other bonus which I've seen vary from state to state and no one has mentioned is whether or not you can bring your cell phone in the club. A lot of places don't seem to like this butathome they don't care which makes getting numbers, dates, ect much easier.
Howeverathome you will get kicked out if you touch, not by the girls, they don't necessarily care, but by management, they keep and eagle eye on you. So I like your touching rules, not so much the lack of nudity. I'll let you know how my experiences go as I check out each spot.

Thanks to Grottos reco I visited both the clubs sat. The clubs are about 25 min apart so if you are visiting from albany (which I did) you might want to combine both. The cover in smiles is $10 (comes with a drink) and bluemoon is $12.

There were around 4 dancers milling about, actually mostly talking among themselves and to some guy that seemed to work there too, and having a good time. I sat at the bar alone for maybe 15 minutes before one of them came to me. She asked if I wanted a dance there, and I said ok how much, she said it went in multiples of $5. At Night Moves they will do a more explicit dance for maybe 90 seconds for $1 or $2.
I asked what else was available, as there is a modeling place kind of attached. She said no touching your private area, but could be some touching of you. She also said there were couch dances, which is grinding aginst you for 30 minutes for $50 plus tip, and she said a $60 tip was expected. She said could not touch their tits during this. That was the only reasonable thing, $110 for 30 mins is not too bad, but if can't touch their tits its not that great of a deal. I've been to Double Vision twice in January, both times having good experiences sadly I don't remember names, however if you're looking for a join with alcohol I wouldn't hesitate to recommend over DiCarlos. So on the floor lapdances are available for about a half a song for your tip. I generally give a Lincoln for these, most dancers give a nice grind. VIP is one song for $25 I believe. 2 for $40 and 4 for $60. Sometimes they have a 2 for 1 special of 2 for $25. There are definitely cameras in the back, so it's YMMV based on the dancer. Some will let you touch a little bit, others not so much. I did hear a patron getting slapped on the wrist by management after a girl asked him not to touch somewhere and he kept doing it. VIP is expensive at $225 / hr but it includes a bottle. They put black curtains up but their semi open. I don't believe there's a camera and a dancer told me that management tends to turn an eye to what happens in there. The private rooms are big, full couches, no cameras that I could see and I am pretty good at spotting them. Private dances are nude, had no problems with touching. The dancers / management don't seem to pay attention to how long you are back there, I was in the back at least 25 min in one of the private dances when I only paid for 4 songs. I don't want to put details on this but I am going to say I left VERY happy and satisfied. If you want to know who to check out, pm me. Overall a great experience, better private dances than any in the capital region. One thing I noticed were there were a lot of locals. I have heard some of the names from the good ole' days (1990's) when I was in my strip club mode. Refreshed I headed to the bar and there was no one there, stood around for a minute hoping someone would come and checked out the prices (soda / water / juice about $4 ea or 2 for $6 I think) Decided to skip it and took a seat. 4 girls were having a knitting club meeting in the main seating area. After about 5 minutes one came over to me. Had a nice lap dance upfront and the red light special was on so I opted for 2 for 1 couch dance in the back. Topless is $25, nude is $35 - expected tip is equal to the cost of the dance, since it was a 2 song dance I tipped $35 she seemed pleased. Visited DiCarlos last week for the first time in years. The place has had a greatly needed face lift. Went for Happy Hour and there were like 4 girls working. Not NYC hot but pretty good talent. I like the extras which, as you say, are not available here. But despite that they still suck. My problem is not just the cameras but also the lack of contact most have. I enjoy a simple TD with ample grinding and suggestive touching. Syracuse at one time were better but they have went down hill too. Schenectady before the purge was a hopping place. For all the lack of value we have we pay more for it as well.
Montreal has some value and truly breath taking babes, it's been a long time for me there. Just visited Niagara Falls, CA the sundowner which has some gorgeous women and good reviews. NJ has some better ones and I've read so does NYC although expensive. IMHO we have some of the more prudish, although not the most prudish clubs.
Couple of points.

I know of no other club that has ever allowed that, and to me that makes Smiles a great place to go. Its about 90 miles from the capital district.

Montreal has some value and truly breath taking babes, it's been a long time for me there. Just visited Niagara Falls, CA the sundowner which has some gorgeous women and good reviews. I was wondering why this thread is so dead. Does everyone think the clubs here are so bad that there is nothing to report or do you guys not go to strip clubs? I've been to all of them and I don't think any of the girls offer extras. Double Vision has the most and best looking girls, but it's not full nude and half the girls don't even get topless. The monitors for the cameras are right out in the open in front for everyone to see, so the private dances are definitely not private.
Night moves is full nude so of course there's no alcohol, just overpriced soda and juice. The cover is $15 which is steep, dances are $35 per song unless there's the 2 for 1 special. They used to have a coupon on their website for free admission, but they don't give free admission anymore. I've had two private dances. One girl just went through the motion and there was hardly any grind. The other girl was not as good looking but tried hard to please. I'd say the private dances aren't worth it, especially since the girls expected tips equivalent to the cost of each song, plus the cameras are monitored by the dj. The selection of girls is small, with very few new talent.
I'll report on couple more later. Does anyone have experience with clubs outside of the Albany area that are within a quick driving distance?Chez Diane in Clarenceville Quebec. Not far from Plattsburgh and across the border from NY near Lake Champlain which is just a couple miles up the road from that "bar". Closer to home, where your mileage may vary, there is V-ja's in Frankfort on old rt 5's. Nude stage dances, juice bar, . 10 cover, only open for a few hours and only 3 or 4 days a week. Get there early, sit back with a soda and watch. Songs are all shortened to a time, so your time with private dances is set and to be considered when going back there. Generally, my friend said it is a J. O. Shop where watching and maybe some touching can occur in the back if you are new, but some girls will provide more. You will have to go for the top private dance room rate though to go there, most likely. He said he got a BBBJw69 there once and the BBBJ part was a surprise as he was just wanting DATY. In time, that girl, who retired, would have gone all the way with him, he said. There is ALWAYS a next time to 'get to know you better' to allow for that. He never found out about take-out svcs though, although from what he said, I bet the right girl would do so.
The Wynanskill place in the boonies is supposed to have some extras available, but I cannot speak of this as my friend only went there to check out the scene where only 4 girls were working the room. He declined on going upstairs but was sure it was for more than a dance.

My friend the truck driver passes through western Mass now and then, so decided to check out a few SCs on his way. He stopped off at Anthony's one weekday mid-afternoon. As expected, there wasn't much happening there. The stage is narrow and L shaped with chairs around it and the bar is at the opposite side of the entrance. Everyone smokes inside the bar so your clothes will smell like cigs. The older lady at the bar (non-alcoholic) runs the place, holds the timer, schedule etc. On that particular night the the girls were average, 3 slightly chubby girls, one tall blond with no ass, one short girl that has a high torso to legs ratio (really short legs and disproportionately long torso, but not a midget). All of the girls are friendly. There were too few customers for the girls to make money from the stage dances. The stage is small with tall bar stools around the perimeter. All girls get fully nude and get into the dance. You can lean back with a dollar bill in your mouth and have it retrieved with their VJa. Private dances are the cheap at only $10 per song. If you're unsure of how many songs you want for private, just tell the older lady and she'll keep track and you pay the difference at the end. There were no cameras visible in the private area. Apparently lots of fun can be had back there. Much better mileage than the local SCs.

I hadn't been to Dicarlos in years and since it's under new ownership, I asked my Girlfriend if she wanted to go, as she's always wanted to check one out. Got there around 1:45 am still had to pay the full cover ($10 each) kind of a rip off IMO. But w / e. Had about 5 girls dancing one white girl and the rest mixed, decent looking but no knockouts. Sat at the bar and hung out, there was one guy who I guess was a regular, seemed like he was in his 60's. And annoying as fuck stumbling around and yelling out loud like a moron. We sat there for a good twenty minutes, no girls came p to say "hello" or anything. So I took out some money and held it in my hand to try and bring a little attention. I had some time to kill so I stopped by DiCarlos on Central Avenue last Wednesday night around 8 pm. Didn't realize they has just opened for the evening which actually worked out in my favor as they didn't charge me cover since I was the first one through the door. I to used to enjoy this place way back when it was the Pink Lady, and so on from there, was friends with the owner for a while. Anyway now there is a $15 cover which I find kind of steep. The day I was there they opened late there were 4 girls on ranging in size from spinner to small but thick. Few bucks everytime they came to me at the stage, private dances upstairs fully nude was $100 for 15 minutes or $150 for a half hour. There were cameras around so I have no idea if it would be worth it. A couple came in and was literally throwing a ton of cash around I'll admit it wad imitative to watch. So I didn't get to ask any inappropriate questions to find out if the private dance was going to get me off outside my pants. I may go back if I have time and an in that area again, I could have fun with no private dance but we all want extras.
