Heard a great report on CBS6news last night. The charges for the Bennington massage places were dropped because in VT, prostitution is defined as "sexual intercourse" hahahaha. Didn't realize it was such a progressive state.

So it has to be that way, but you get fucked over by the cops and court systems enough times and you begin to see the futility of that situation.

Hence a pig hiding in the bushes clocks you at 90 mph is NOT entrapment. A female pig acting like a hooker to catch john is again NOT entrapment. Hope this helps I do little else on this board.

The prohibition was that there could be no soliciting in the streets or one couldn't operate a "brothel." Otherwise it was a go for it attitude.
That's part of the reason why it is relatively cheap in Montreal, lots of competition. Also, in the "old days" (about 7-10 years ago) the exchange rate was awesome for us. I remember employing 2 ladies for two hours for under $300. Ahh the good old days.

The site's controlling shareholders, Michael Lacey, 68, and James Larkin, 67, have been charged with conspiracy to commit pimping, Harris said in a statement. Under California's law, felony pimping is defined as making money off of prostitutes or soliciting customers for prostitution.

California authorities said the state's three-year investigation found many of the ads include victims of sex trafficking including children under the age of 18.
One of the advertisers, identified only as 15-year-old "E. S. ," 'was forced into prostitution at the age of 13 by her pimp," according to an affidavit filed with the complaint. She used other online advertising services until they were shut down, the court filing says, when she turned to Backpage.
"I mean really, coming from someone my age, there is too much access, like it's too easy for people to get on it and post an ad," she told California Special Agent Brian Fichtner, according to his affidavit.
California officials said their investigation was prompted in part by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which reported 2,900 instances to California authorities since 2012 when suspected child sex trafficking occurred using Backpage.

On Wednesday November 10,2016, the Amsterdam Police Department Detective Bureau along with the New York State Police CNET Capital team conducted an undercover prostitution investigation in the City of Amsterdam. The following individuals each agreed to participate in sexual activity for a fee with undercover officers. Each were arrested and charged with a Prostitution related offense. All were issued an appearance ticket and are scheduled to return to Amsterdam City Court on November 15,2016 at 9:00 am.

If you have no source of income besides your current occupation, there is not much choice. There is an old Egyptian saying, "Because we focused on the snake, we missed the scorpion. " It has application to this situation.
It's no big deal for a provider in trouble like this to cooperate with the authorities in exchange for getting a misdemeanor conviction reduced to a violation or an ACOD. Law enforcement has very little to lose because most of these charges are adjudicated through a reduction in charges at the prosecution level. It's the arrest that makes the splash, not the plea or conviction.
Who remembers the troubles of TBD out of Florida, and what happened to some ladies but not to others who cooperated. I knew a girl who had to plea to a felony, while others were able to walk away scot-free.
