SOMERSWORTH, NH. Two people were arrested and a warrant has been issued for a third after a violent robbery in Somersworth on Sunday, police say.
A man connected with a woman on Craigslist and Backpage and agreed to meet her at an apartment on Main Street, according to authorities. When he went inside, three men assaulted and robbed him, authorities said.
The victim suffered several facial injuries.
On Tuesday, police arrested xxxxx xxxxx, 22, of Barrington, charging her with a probation violation. Authorities said they anticipate also charging her with conspiracy to commit a robbery and falsifying physical evidence.
The following day, police arrested xxxxx xxxx 29, of Somersworth, and charged him with conspiracy to commit a robbery.
Authorities also have an arrest warrant for xxxxx xxxxx, 21, of Milton, who has ties to the Somersworth, Rochester and Dover areas. He is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 170 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Police said they believe this was not an isolated incident and the group might have been involved in a similar scheme in the past.
