I would like any comments of extras achived at sensations. I had a co-worker tell me that him and a few other guys went for fun. He claims to have gotten total nudity in private dance from a younger girl ( he is 24..she younger). No name from him. He said private dance was .4 per song, no other customers in sight, and he left happy. He won't indulge in any more details, sorry.
Went out on Thursday, this bar was dead, I suspect because of Art Prize. The dancers ~10, outnumbered the patrons.
I had a number of dances but only two were mildly interesting. Sky and Vegas.
Perhaps the red barn is better.
I sure wish GR would get its prudish head out of its tight conservative a$$.
Been to Sensations many times and every time I tell myself never to go back. I don't believe anyone has ever had extras in the club but do believe some may offer outside of the club but for to much money.

I went to godivas today this afternoon and there was like 3 guys (including me)
And 5 dancer there and I just don't get how they stay in business in this town with very little people in there.

Anyone have any good information to share on Godiva's or showgirls they can share? Also, any info on muskegon clubs? I have done most of my visiting to Lansing and Detroit area clubs. I would be happy to share directly, though I have already posted some in those forums if anyone has any good specific information about GR clubs. I know they are a short step up from bikini clubs now since GR passed is anti nudity laws. But, I was hoping to find something local with Gas prices going up.
Muskegon clubs:
Murphey's. Some of the dancers seem like they might offer good milage but the VIP room is in plain view and when I was there the bar tender checked the room like 3 times per dance.
Odyssey (sp?). This place gives off all of the vibes of a joint that would offer good miles but, all of my experiences have been contrary to that. Have visited on a number of separate occasions. Spent some money and got some dances but not much more than a solid air dance.

I am hoping to see some promising reports about the GR clubs on this thread! If I don't have the time and $ to make the trip to the Detroit airport clubs, I'll stop by the Kalamazoo clubs, Deja Vu and Angels. Angels has decent talent in afternoon and evening. Deja Vu has decent talent but only in the evening. Deja Vu is not a bad drive down 131 from the GR area, Angels is located on the east side of Kzoo so it would be a bit more of a time and gas investment to travel from GR to Angels. Both offer private dances with decent contact but don't go expecting extras.
Heartbeats and Hots in Battle Creek have both made improvements recently but have talent that is a notch down from the Kzoo clubs.
Does the GR anti-nudity Bible-thumpers ordinance cover all of Kent county? Sounds like an opportunity to put a strip club in an adjacent city, maybe Wayland, so that it could service (or is that serve?) the skin-deprived men of Kent County as well as the patrons at the Gun Lake Casino.
I'm from detroit, so I'll preface with that. Anyways, I was half drunk, bored, and sensations was less than a mile from the house so I figured, what the hell? In comparison with detroit clubs, I had a horrible dance. Somehow though, in kent county consideration, it was pretty good. $.6, 2 songs, one topless with touching, one without. They were special $.4 dances, I thought when in rome, right? Anyways it was with a skinny lady in glass, can't remember her name. Small but perky rack. The funniest part of all was that she informed me she did take out. $4. 5 for the hours (maybe a little more, you know she doesn't watch the clock). No FS, no bbj, no CBJ, no HJ, just the privledge to see her danish pussy in the light with a little groping. Yeah, I'll get right on that. It beat going to the pizza place next door (which was my only option). Side note: this should probably now be in massages but I had 2 "legit" lady cmt's give me the run around. All promises of just a g rated rub down (which is what I was going for) , both of which bailed at the last minute pissing me off immensely (which is why I had the $.6 to blow in the first place). I have an appointment with simple sweet on Thursday, at least that should be worth while.

Great little club. The girls do ok here even with to dumb ass gr rules. Have been able to take a couple of them out of the club. In fact asked four times over the last six months and got two of them to say yes. One came home with my girlfriend and me and didn't cost anything. But she way way more interested in my girlfriend than she was in me.
Just be nice and feel the girls out. Won't get a $50 wonder in the parking lot, you you can find a reasonably priced to go order.

The talent is not great nor terrible if you consider the state of the strip clubs here in GR. The peelers here typically stick to their regulars though depending on the time of day, just wanted to forewarn you.
Was in GR for the afternoon a few weeks ago and stopped by Parkway Tropics. A few of the lady's looked great and thought it was going to be a good night until I was told about the ordinance. Didn't have the time to invest in trying to score so had a few beers and went searching elsewhere.

Stopped a couple of times at Sensations recently. Had the pleasure of seeing Ivory one night and Zoey the next. Either woman is incredible to look at. I was surprised to find such a high caliber of talent and beauty in a Grand Rapids club. I had a private dance from each girl and had a pleasant time.
Definitely will be back.

Anyone had any luck with bonus mileage here in the west MI area? I have tried Sensations, a dude checks in the booth like ever 5 minutes, so that seems pretty unlikely. I tried Lady Godiva. They seem like the best bet. I had some luck with a beautiful blonde but did not get D-Town style mileage. I visited parkway and the VIP / dance area is a bunch of seats together with no separation so it seems like a no go. I have visited Odyssey in Muskegon on several occasions. First most of the ladies are a little heavier than I like but there are a few attractive ladies. From appearance everything says they should have a good menu but I have struck out every time. Murphy's in Muskegon at last visit had a dude who litterally sat in the VIP area and watched. Not only eliminates the possibilities but is just straight creepy. Any luck with the Battle Creek or Kzoo clubs? I have visited them all but no real luck getting any bonus mileage. I seriously wish there was a good club that was not all the way to Detroit metro area.

To add insult to injury the dancer they had on duty was not my type. I try not to rag on girls or make fun but she was a big girl and that is a super turn off for me. By big I don't mean tall or a little chubby. I am talking 70 lbs overweight and only like 5'4. Her dance was lack luster and I was the only person there. I did not directly ask her about extras, mostly because I did not want any from her, but I danced around the question of rather it was available from other dancers and she did not answer.
It does turn out that they have an adult theater which is quite active around the lunch hour if you are into other dudes. Which, I am not. To each their own but, that is just not my thing. I stepped in and there was a lot of action going on and I made a hasty retreat.

I tried my luck for extras at Parkway on Sunday night and it was a no go. I just don't see how any in the club extras can be possible at this place. The curtain to the back room is transparent enough that other patrons can see you. Also, there are a bunch of chairs together so other people and other strippers can see what is going on. You can get a little extra roaming etc if you get back there at the right time. But, as soon as other people start showing up that had to stop. It was fun until it crowded. But, the good extras are probably going to be a no go.
I am going to try my luck at Lady Godivas. I have had some limited luck here in the past. I am sure it is possible if you get the right girl there.

Dureing the private couch dances they do take off there tops. With pasties of course. Also if there is a big group and are flying solo you will get ignored. Girls there are fives, maybe an occasional seven or eight. Nothing extra here though and the peelers do tend to stay to their regulars. Personally if you're new to the place, I wouldn't waste my time unless you plan on making it a regular place you stop by.

On the news this evening they reported a fire at the club. The report said a complete and total loss. Sounds like an inside job if they were not getting much business. And they should not being doing well if they were not serving their customers well. All reports were thus.

Not surprised. They were very unwelcoming my first time there, and had quite too many "guys only nights"; I'm not being homophobic but as a straight guy the place had way too little mixing and mingling in my area of taste (females).

On the news this evening they reported a fire at the club. The report said a complete and total loss. Sounds like an inside job if they were not getting much business. And they should not being doing well if they were not serving their customers well. All reports were thus.I know someone who works (worked) there and I was told that they were trying to thaw some frozen pipes upstairs with a space heater. I still think it's a little fishy. There is no doubt they were struggling and the local community was rallying against them. This will be a quick review. I've been there 3 times, and the first time was the best because I got a lap dance in the back, the girl was petite and very friendly. However, even during that visit and the subsequent 2 more visits, all the girls just ignore you. They walk by and go to their regulars, not even trying to get tips from you. There is, of course, the odd hefty or completely crazy looking girl that will say hi to you, but when they're bigger than me, that's an issue, so I (along with everyone else in the place) ignore them and hope they keep walking.
I've even tried going up to the dancers and made it rain, whispering into their ear that there's a lot more where that came from and to come see me when they're done on the pole. But alas, they go right to their regulars and I get nothing.
I know I'm not a model by any means, but I'm an average to average-good looking guy who has never had any trouble getting laid and I'm always well groomed and showered, so it's unfortunate even someone like me can't get them to have some fun.
I will not be repeating any visits here unless something major changes.
One note: The rooms in the back are nice for lap dances, as they're semi-private, which is a lot more than the other places north of GR can say, with everything out in the open.
I arrived Wednesday night between 10-11 PM with a friend. We paid a $5 cover, then took a seat at a table about 15 feet from the bar and the small stage where the dancer was performing (the big stage at the front of the room was closed).
There was one other customer in the building. There were 5 girls. 1 male bartender. 0 servers. The bartender never acknowledged our presence, even though we were basically the only people in the building. The dancers were all sitting at the bar.
We were there 40 minutes and not one dancer or employee said one word to us. No dances offered, no drinks offered. We spent $0 other thanthe $5 cover. We were laughing about how completely ridiculous the situation was.
On our way out the 1st words were spoken to us by the same doorman who took our money 45 minutes earlier. "Have a nice night", he said. We went to Parkway Tropics, and ended up having a pretty awesome night actually.

This review covers a few Saturday evenings in January and Feb. Saturday evening around 6 or 7 pm. The club layout has been discussed, typical dive bar, basement feel. The ladies are friendly with 1 $ dances, but are not pushy for drinks which is nice. The dances are $10 but its a bikini club thanks to GR's strict ordinances. Had a few dances with a hot blonde with glasses, huge nats. Pretty good grinding, but there are no extras here. Pretty good spot for beer and cheap dances, but other than that. Best drive to Detroit, LOL.

Several dancers here are very open to take out. There is a hotel up alpine that they recommend, but most take you back to their place.
Pros and cons in either situation I suppose. I have had more luck with day girls than night girls in recent months.
Day girls are going to give you better service imo, but night girls tend to be hotter. At least in my experience.

I thought I would send a little update on a few trips to the Tropics lately, especially since reading the abomination of Sensations (a place I have never visited).
While it is appropriate to label GR as "bland" Rapids when it comes to strip clubs, I have always enjoyed a trip to Parkway.
I maybe get out about 4 times a year and have hit up the amateur night, which has been hit or miss.
Pros:
- the beer is cold.
- some girls seem genuinely interested.
- IMO some of their dancing skills are fantastic, particularly in the private area.
- $10 Private dances.
- on one amateur night, the girls were either high or drunk and would give table dances for the entire song for $1-2. Thus the private area had NO business.
- there are extras for the astute patrons. I myself have never partaken but there are some who offer.
Cons:
- it's "bland" Rapids!
- the private dance area is lit up like a gas station at night, leading to no privacy.
- cameras in all of the private sections so girls won't go beyond the rules of the club.
- some girls have no interest in making money. Still shocks me but I spoke to a few of them and they couldn't wait to get done with their shift and go home. They sat at the bar and only spoke to patrons when they were forced to do their rounds. Their words: if I make minimum wage or more I am happy. Wow.
- in general these girls all lack the hustle that you see in big club areas like Vegas. Example: one night in the last two weeks I spent 3 hrs at the club and was asked only twice if I wanted a private dance. So much for service. Any girl capable of a little hustle should be able to keep herself busy all night. But about half the dancers always seemed to be more interested in their dancer friends than actually making money.
Since I view this place as a glorified bar where a bikini girl can occasionally bump a grind on my lap, I'll be back. But I wish there was something better!

I was at Parkway a week ago, you're better off finding a well reviewed provider and taking that route. I asked a few girls if extras were an option and got the same response every time: "we're just a bikini bar, we don't offer extras". I took $10 broke it down into ones, I was there for day time girls, and eventually rotated out into night time girls. Stopped in around 8 pm or so a few weeks ago. Cover was $5 Beer was $4. A few custies and 5 or so dancers. A cute blonde spinner, Tory, Zia was stacked with some tats, brunette Kena, blonde spinner Alexa, and a dark haired Mexican spinner were there when I rolled in. Most did their usual dollar dance and Zia was most friendly. Was going to grab a dance with her but she found a regular and was in the back for awhile. Stayed an hour or so and a few more dancers trickled in. Night shift doesn't really get going until 10 it seems. Overall, this place is great for cheap dances and a low key atmosphere. Although still wish they could take tops off! Will return.

There are 22 clubs in the area and each one has something unique to offer. Feel free to PM me if you would like recommendations for what you are looking for. It's a shame GR has so many rules. But I've enjoyed the time spent in Parkway a lot more than time I've been in Bogarts or Coli or Penthouse or the others. Certainly, if I happen to be in Detroit for long enough, I'll swing into one of them. But living in GR, when I'm not seeking a different service, I can get warm and fuzzy with some hot women for relatively little money. I'm sorry you don't feel that way but, honestly, it just leaves more couch time open for the rest of us.

I'll pass compared to a 5 minute drive and 10 dollars a dance. The convenience and service is just unmatched at Parkway in my opinion.

I was recently at Parkway a few Sundays ago. My younger cousin wanted to go out and have some fun in downtown GR and this was the decision he made. I told him about how it's just a bikini bar and there is no nudity. He didn't believe me and wanted to see himself. So we went around 8 pm. There was only 3 dancers at the time. The rotation of the dancers was a little slow because of the number of them. Some would come out and give there dollar dances while the other was on the main stage. And to his surprise. On the one hand, nothing untoward is going to happen at Parkway so secrecy is not necessarily needed for the venue. But, of course, who knows who is watching and who might show up taking notes I guess.
In the old days, this was handled inside semi-closed forums. Not a fan of those frankly. Tends to divide the gents into tiers that ultimately ruin a board.
Tell ya what, I will take PMs for the next seven days and then send out notes to anyone expressing interest with some date suggestions. I don't much care who you tell or invite but bear in mind the location and the crowd. We really don't need much of a reputation.

LE knows a high profile takedown, even if it's a misdemeanor charge, would have significant dampening effect on the local area activity on this board. They don't really care all that much about it, but if you tee it up for them they'll definitely take what's given. I think the risk is quite low, but there is still a risk. One big recommendation I would make to a high profile member is being VERY careful who you tell your screen name to in a gathering like this, unless you are sure beyond a shadow of a doubt you actually know everyone personally. I think a low profile member has almost nothing to worry about as LE would have no benefit to spending any time figuring out who they are.

That was basically my view in detail. A two way pw solves this. First one greeting using certain words, other replies using certain words. Pretty simple. Guy1: "Hey, hows it going. Loud in here. Guy2: Yes but it gets's quiet after 5" for example.
