Sorry I have never posted on here much before. I just wanted to let you know what happened when I got arrested in a sting.
It happened earlier this year in Waikiki. I met her there and was busted in a side street.
Anyways in the next few days you are going to get a bunch of lawyers sending you mail. Your name is on the police blotter for that day and I guess they go check it out daily and send out mailers.
I called about 10 different lawyers. All of there takes were if this is your first offense it is best to plead no contest at the pretrial hearing you have scheduled. They said that even if you feel you are not guilty going to trial is just going to cost you more and you don't know what the outcome is going to be. In the end I choose a lawyer went to the pretrial hearing and pleaded no contest. I was fined the $500 which is your bail money they take. This is minimum fine for it I think. Plus court fees. You are placed on 6 months probation. You have to go to probation office after hearing they take your picture but you don't have to report to them. After the 6 months is up your case is dismissed. You should go to the court house to get you dismissal papers although some lawyers say you don't have too. The probation officer said if you don't get the paper work and there is a mix up with court records you have no proof. According to the officer I talked too and my lawyer it nevers shows up on your record only police can see it. I think it was after 4 yrs you can go and have it totally expunged from you records so it is gone for good as long as you don't commit any crimes otherwise. I have for my name in the system and have never found it. This is just to help you out hopefully from someone who experienced it.
Sorry I never post on here but usually just read. This was probably the second time I met someone from online website. I went against my better judgement and went into waikiki and got busted. I have since never partaken again for fear or worse.

Philgot to watch out for Google voice numbers too. They could be linked to a local phone so they appear to be from the mainland. If the search of the number or pic doesn't turn up any reviews then stay away. Even if tineye comes up empty, there should be something written somewhere about a decent provider.
