Hmmm, a quick search of mug shots shows she was arrested in April, May, June, and July 12 of this year. The last arrest was for FTA on 7/12. I checked the clerk of courts records to see when she was bonded out after that, but there was no info on that, unless the charges were dropped. Usually bond is set pretty high for people who don't appear for a hearing, so she should have still been in jail instead of a slab. Until they release cause of death, we can only speculate. What a sad short life she had. Yeah, she was a SW drug addict, but somewhere someone is grieving for her.

Very Good Advice, shut your mouth until you have an attorney present. Don't be intimidated or bullshiited by any cop into answering anything until you have a attorney present. They will try every trick in the book to get you to answer (and further incriminate) yourself.
Additionally, while on the phone don't ever discuss a sexual act tied to monetary compensation when calling the person in the ad. If you verbally discuss and tie these two items together, you just committed the actual crime (which is recorded). Before you physically appear at the meeting place, you have committed a misdemeanor. Nothing is easier than for the cops than to sit back, eat a bag of doughnuts and have the perp deliver themselves to be stuffed and cuffed.

It seems that the Politzei are stretching the law as far as it can go especially when they know the person or persons involved have limited resources with which to defend themselves.
Example: A friend of mine spent 3 weeks in jail on a "loitering with intent to commit prostitution charge" in a nearby city. They arrested her while she waited for a cab outside a Hotel
They questioned her and she wouldn't "give up" the name of the friend she had just visited, so since she had a previous conviction they popped her on the above charge, technically she did not have to answer any PD questions but once she said she was there to see a friend and would not identify that friend, they had her. If she had politely identified herself and refused any other questioning until an Attorney was present she should have been fine but she made the "Classic" case of trying to make an excuse and explain herself to LE. Lets face it they have the gun and uniform and car with all the lights and are extremely intimidating to the average citizen,"They absolutely know that they are intimidating" and play on it to get the citizen to incriminate themselves. Bottom Line: You cannot talk yourself out of trouble with LE you can only talk yourself into trouble by talking to LE. They are not looking for ways to let you go, that is not their JOB! The conviction rate would drop considerably if people just kept their mouths shut.
I asked her why she didn't call me and she said she did not know "anyone with a land line" and even if she did she would have to memorize a lot of numbers. The jail phones can only call land lines, apparently.
Her bail was only $1000.

I'm at work so I can't post a link but there are reports on Orlando Sentinel about a sting that happened this weekend.
It seems that the Politzei are stretching the law as far as it can go especially when they know the person or persons involved have limited resources with which to defend themselves.
Example: A friend of mine spent 3 weeks in jail on a "loitering with intent to commit prostitution charge" in a nearby city. They arrested her while she waited for a cab outside a Hotel
They questioned her and she wouldn't "give up" the name of the friend she had just visited, so since she had a previous conviction they popped her on the above charge, technically she did not have to answer any PD questions but once she said she was there to see a friend and would not identify that friend, they had her. If she had politely identified herself and refused any other questioning until an Attorney was present she should have been fine but she made the "Classic" case of trying to make an excuse and explain herself to LE. Lets face it they have the gun and uniform and car with all the lights and are extremely intimidating to the average citizen,"They absolutely know that they are intimidating" and play on it to get the citizen to incriminate themselves. Bottom Line: You cannot talk yourself out of trouble with LE you can only talk yourself into trouble by talking to LE. They are not looking for ways to let you go, that is not their JOB! The conviction rate would drop considerably if people just kept their mouths shut.
I asked her why she didn't call me and she said she did not know "anyone with a land line" and even if she did she would have to memorize a lot of numbers. The jail phones can only call land lines, apparently.
Her bail was only $1000.

If she was arrested for loitering then she was observed at the same location more than once or she was asked to leave the hotel and she didn't. A $1k bond is $ to a bondsman, they all accept collect calls and the numbers are posted on top of the phones. She would have been out in 3 hours. If she didn't have the $ on her (really? Didn't she just come from fucking someone?) the bondsman would have asked for some phone numbers cell or landline, and called on her behalf to get someone down to the bondsman to post the $ that your friend should have had in her property.
As for the police questioning her. The minute you say you want an attorney, you are admitting you have something to hide. When you get pulled over for speeding and the cop asks why are you driving so fast? Do you ask for an attorney? If a cop stops you and asks "why are you here" you say what you are doing. Waiting for a cab, if he asks where are you coming from and you are in a downtown or touristy area you say I can't find my ride (girlfriend, boyfriend, cousin Jimmy Mike Susan whatever) I came to the hotel so the cab can find me easier, can you give me a ride home officer? That cop will turn around and leave you alone. The devil is in the details. Why ask for an attorney, you are not under arrest, you are not being detained. Make sure you always carry your I'd. It is illegal to be over the age of 18 and not carry I'd with you. That is the #1 reason girls get pinched. No I'd so they have to take you in to run your prints and verify who you are. And finally NEVER EVER plead guilty to anything. Take it to trial or plead no contest (nolo contendre) make sure you go to all of your court dates and eventually the prosecutor will drop the charge because his boss is on his ass to close cases!) , and if you cannot afford an attorney one will be appointed to you at no cost (actually you have to pay $25 to see if you qualify for a Public Pretender) they will tell you that as they are placing the cuffs on you because you asked for an attorney and now they have to provide one! In my post I said she told the police she was there to "see a friend" when they asked to talk to the friend she would not identify 'the friend' this aroused their suspicion, so they ran her history, it's 1:30 A. M. And she's waiting for a cab in front of the Hotel and she does not provide them with a verified reason for being there and she has several arrests for Prost. They now have probable cause to arrest her. She does not walk the streets and her busts have all been on outcalls, I told her to stop the outcalls but the money always wins. The cops have nothing to lose, if the prosecutor files no information (Drops charges) it does not affect the cops at all. False arrest in 99% of the cases is a myth.
Remember this is not Orlando, in the bigger cities cops step over drunks lying on the sidewalks. (NYC) I've personally seen it.) And as it goes down the ladder the rules change dramatically. What goes on in NYC courts would get a judge fired and disbarred here.
Most PD's have portable scanners in the patrol cars to take prints but if they have no I'd to work from it takes much longer and you are going in. If she had no previous record she would not have been arrested especially if she had acted indignant. But Prosecutors and Judges are not stupid, when someone has no visible means of support (No job) and has a previous record and it's 1:30 A. M. In front of a hotel. They connect the dots.
She has no family in town and is not close to the family she has, so without her phone she has no numbers to give a bondsman. Don't know how much cash she had but unless she had enough to bond herself out ($1000) in cash on her person she would not have access to her money until she was bonded out. Unless you have a relationship with a bondsman they will not bail out a person unless the bond is secured, which means someone in good standing in the community would have to guarantee the bond (someone with equity in a house for instance) I've had to do it twice for someone, once was a 50k bond and I had to give them a promissory note (which is a lien) on my house and it wasn't released until the case was closed. So Papi it's not so easy or cut and dried. Now if you have a working relationship with a bondsman and you've always showed up for court and they've never had to chase you then they are happy to take your money. In the smaller cities they won't roll out in the middle of the night to make a $100 bucks because after the bond the defendant has to go to the office and sign papers etc. Etc.
There is a big difference between a traffic stop and a criminal charge, generally the traffic stop is considered an offense, not a Misdemeanor or Felony and you are given the courtesy of an "appearance ticket" this of course presumes your not drunk or driving 132 miles an hour and that you don't mouth off to the cop etc.
There really is no comparison between a traffic stop and a criminal stop.
You will be detained while "they investigate" the trick is to not incriminate yourself during the time "they investigate" by running your mouth or making excuses, you shouldn't be rude or abrasive but there is a moment when you need to inquire if you are being arrested or not and politely inform the officer that if you're not, that you want to leave and see what happens.
I have been stopped in what could look to be a compromising situation because of where I was stopped and the second question I was asked after license and registration was is whether I had ever been arrested, that is a very intimidating question because it implies you are about to be and they know it scares people. Think how you would feel if asked this question and what would be going around in your head. Especially if your guilty of something even if it's something you intended to do but have not done yet, your scared shitless, aren't you?
My point in this is that when you are under pressure 90% of people give themselves up even cops and attorneys give themselves up and they intellectually know better but GUILT is a powerful thing.
If you get an Attorney one of the first thing he will ask is "Did you give a statement" then 'is there any media involved" then as he collects his fee you will here " you understand there are no GUARANTEES and NO REFUNDS" this is after he has told you what a super attorney he is and how GOOD your case is BUT he hasn't seen "the discovery" (Prosecutions evidence") and after he sees that he will advise you how to proceed.
Translation: You guilty sumbish I'll try to make you a good deal if you didn't hang yourself with a police statement other than that I can only make sure your rights aren't being violated.
Best advice is to stay away from the legal system and be a good boy or girl. —VS

I forgot to comment, in Florida since 2005 a nolo plea can be used against you in sentencing in future sentencing, it used to protect you from being sued in Civil court based a guilty plea (You would plead Nolo and not admit anything either way) on a conviction in criminal court. But now it's pretty much an ego protector, you might feel better not pleading guilty but the result is exactly the same as far as the law is concerned. Sorry.

Nolo Contendre means that you agree that the prosecution has enough evidence to convict you. Not that you are guilty. A civil suit has no bearing on a criminal case. Just ask OJ and Casey Anthony. As for sentencing guidelines the Supreme Court ruled nolo contendre or no contest MAY not WILL be used in sentencing. And that applies to Federal cases where you accrue "points" towards your sentence depending on convictions. And yes N / C is a conviction, you just are not admitting guilt. The purpose of N / C is that in the future you may (again may) have that conviction expunged because you were not found guilty. Not even close to being the same as a guilty plea where you give up any right because you must allocute your guilt in open court. As for the bondsman. 50k bond is alot different than a 1k bond. You must put up collateral to secure the 50k the bondsman is putting up for you. Most bondsman do not lose their 1k bond even if the defendant fails to show up to court so its a quick $100 and yes any bondsman worth his salt would gladly go to Johnny Polk pick up a hooker and in the process bail out the other 5 girls in there too! I am very well experienced in these matters. But not in the way that you think!
And finally. Well, at least I hope that is true.Unless some other info comes out it looks like the Politician was suckered. My guess is that they went through the telephone #'s and found a number that would give this nothing story a lot of Media attention, my bet is that they went to see him and shook the shit out of him and got him to sign a statement while assuring him he would not be arrested.
There is a lesson here, the lesson is "Lawyer up" no statements or questions unless a lawyer is present. Take it apart, what did they have other than a telephone number, I doubt that the guy arrested kept all the e-mails etc. If he did he should have kept them in Encrypted files at a minimum. Even the press releases admitted they have no evidence on the mongers and unless something else comes out he was just a monger, and they didn't arrest him. They did however issue a press release and did a great job of (Hopefully) temporarily screwing up his life.
LEO and the press are F. O. S, that house was not a brothel anymore than a hotel or motel room is a brothel. Anybody here just go over there and knock on the door and drift on in-I don't think so. Brothel sounds so spectacular on channel nine, the public are such chumps.

I have to admit that while I have only dabbled in the hobby, I am so paranoid that I am going to be recorded or something. I am in my early 30's so who knows what success I may have in the next few years. Just think as a working girl, why not record guys. You never know who might be visiting you. I agree with you 100% the media is just picking on mid to high profile people in Orlando. No one cares about most of us. We are insignificant. Most of us are not lawyers or doctors with large practices in town. So far everything is hearsay in my opinion. They have 100's of names in the file that is a lot of people to persue for a second degree misd. The defendant has hired Francis (Buck) Blankner as his Attorney. Blankner knows every trick in the book so this will be a long and drawn out affair if the past is a predictor of the future. In a few months Jeff Ashton will be in charge as state's attorney so much will depend on his take of the situation.
Over 50 pages of info has been released but since I have only curiosity and no personal exposure to this group I won't pay the county clerks office for the copies of "the evidence" and remember it's a long way from accusation to conviction.
This guy is a Navy Vet with no prior arrests or convictions this is a huge plus for him in the case, more of a plus than many people realize. I'm going to put up the charges on the board but not his name or address, because even though his name is already on here, to do so is to expose your membership to automatic deletion. Even if you are on video in such a place and the LEO has your name and phone number, there is no proof that you paid any money. This jerk pimp had it written in a
Book how much each paid. I do not know if that is proof enough. Even so, you can deny any payments. There is no proof of payment unless you yourself admit paying or they get the payment on video. Other then that, you can say that you and her are just great friends and no monely was exchanged. Just a thought.

In addition to Florida Statutes there are county and local (city) ordinances. One woman I know was cited (not arrested) for not having an escort license and for not meeting a hotel client in a public place. All told she had a couple thousand dollars in fines to pay. AMPs can be shut down because of health violations. Unlicensed massage therapists.
In Honolulu, the police look after the girls on the street breaking them up when too many are gathered together and telling them to go home an change their clothing. They try hard not to bust them.

Yea. I am positive I was on MC's list. Depending on how long they keep the client contacts. Oh yes, MBI (comprised of many FL law enforcement agencies) and "Operation Flea Collar" every escort lady (myself included) Lauren of Orlando, Susan of Orlando, Sweet Kelly every escort in Orlando back then was arrested. The ladies in Orlando were basically brought down by the sworn affidavits of the gentlemen "caught" playing over in Tampa responding to the "Lia Nice" ad.
Using these sworn affidavits given by "the clients" who got caught in their own actions in Tampa and believing vice officers telling them these ladies will take whats offered them, they will not go to trial. And if they sang on us. Their charges would be dropped. I love how vice officers think most working girls are "uneducated"
June 4th. 2002. The MBI came to my home and served a warrant that was obtained based on those Tampa affidavits, I lawyered up, pled not guilty at arraignment in August 2002 and let everyone know I'd see this all the way to trial. (*I have a family member who is a criminal lawyer in PA / NJ, so luckily I knew what to do and what NOT to do)
October 15, 2002, I had a 1 hour meeting with the the and the MBI officials with my lawyer present and answered their generic & rather stupid questions. As my lawyer and I headed out of their office they said By the way, we need your PC within 24 hours for forensic analysis and we'll know if it's been "wiped"
The MBI was clearly upset with me, because they knew they had NO CASE. My lawyer and I gave them my home desktop PC that I never used for anything regarding the hobby. My hobby laptop was always secured in my car trunk when not in use. So they were played. They called my attorney 1 week later and told them she can pick up her PC, later that afternoon we picked it up and donated it to the Beta House for Teen Pregnancy on Lake Underhill in case they put any "tracking or tracing devices" on it.
December 12, 2002 Orange County, the state attorney announces in open court, charges are Nolle Prosse your honor. I gave them nothing. I was polite, cooperative but absolutely not obligated to do their job for them. They had no evidence on me, other than men who had sung on me to simply save their own butts, I suppose they were pressured pretty hard after all they were CAUGHT RED HANDED in a POLICE STING. Those gentlemen once they learned they'd be called to testify at a trial which is required, in order to "authenticate" the affidavit, they suddenly decided they didn't want to cooperate with the state, I guess they didn't want those bothersome supeonas to be served and the spouse to potentially find out what they had done. All this work done by vice squads / MBI and no jail time or penalties for many of them. If they used their resources for more important things we'd be in good shape.

Add Washoe county to the Nevada list. It's illegal there also.Under Nevada state law, any county with a population under 400, 000, as of the last decennial census, is allowed to license brothels if it so chooses.
Correct Jenna, Washoe and Clark counties are over the population limit. Few counties also choose not to have brothels. And it is only legal in brothels.

ISPersonally I think P. Canada has given you great info. In my opinion the brothels are overpriced and about 90 mi. From LV, give or take depending where in LV you start from. Usually the girls are very nice, the girl I choose was way cool, a hair stylist from LV who was working herself out of debt. She told me she banked 18, 000 in 18 days and was going to return LV as a stylist. In the Brothels you have to negotiate like hell to get a "reasonable" price.
If you cruise the better hotels the girls will find you if you keep your eyes open and respond to their looking at you, don't look away, they will smile and you approach with a line like "you look thirsty, lets have a cocktail or any thing that will start a conversation, they are literally in every bar, lounge club in Vegas. One night I waited about 20-30 min to get into a hotel club (every time you go there is a different hot club) once in the club I was there maybe 5 min. And was approached by 3 hot Oriental chicks as soon as I started talking to one of them the other two faded into the crowd, she hit me at $1000 for an evening of "Paradise" she eventually cut to $500 for a one time moment if I was staying at that hotel, she would not leave the hotel. I passed, but she was definitely smoking.
Another tip, stay away from asking cab drivers "Where the good places are" or going to the places where the street hawkers with their pamphlets want to send you, these places are scam joints, the cabdrivers get tipped for bringing you there, the girls will lead you to believe great things are going to happen and NOTHING happens. 100% Scams eventually, they will tell you that what you are asking for is prostitution and that is illegal in Clark County. Goodbye all the cash you spent trying to get her in a room.
Like PC said, SW work the strip on the way into down town and on the road to and on Boulder Highway, lots of low end motels attract the low end girls and junkies, many are very worn looking. Extreme caution is in order as in any SW situation. They know you are not local in your rental car so ripping you off is always an option
Also remember that Vegas is a scam capitol, fake cc, counterfeit money and anything and everything you would never ever even guess or think of. ISVegas has lots of AMPs. The further from the strip the better, in general. Best bets are the AMPs in Henderson. Never had less than full menu at any of the ones I've been to. As for escorts or pick-ups, don't know. AMPs are too good and too easy there.

Someone was right! The crown plaza was a hot spot on Friday, and the news says 33 arrests were done over the last couple days from the crown plaza to OBT, to a brothel in a townhouse by Dr Phillips.

These people try to take the moral high road, but as usual, there's more to the story.
After researching their website a little bit more, the real reason that it's there is in the FAQ. They are there to make money. Surprise!!! But, they make money is a different type of way. Allow me to explain:
This website's gig is charging money for the girl's to get their pics and data removed. That's it, plain and simple. They aren't there to warn the community about the danger and threat of these girls at all. Again, surprise! Imagine, I thought that they were trying to protect us poor, unsuspecting citizens from the perils of seeing these girls. That's not it at all. They want to make money hoping that they've posted a girl's pic that was stolen from somewhere else on the internet. Then, the poor girl gets her pic swiped and used in a BP ad against her wishes. She wants to get her photos off of the Internet when they've been used for prostitution ads. They have her photo and she has to pay to have it removed. Pretty shitty, huh?
The website also cites some pathetic law that supposedly exempts them from being held accountable for publishing some unsuspecting girl's pic that was stolen.
Man, oh man, and WE'RE supposed to be the scumbags. Puuuhhhhlease!!!! I was correct is calling these maggots out for the dirtbags that they are, but in a different way This is an interesting spin on things. I will give it that.
I'm reminded of Jim and Tammy Baker on TV, quoting the Lord as they plead with their viewers to dig deep, really deep.
I hope that they go broke and declare bankruptcy. Oh wait, but that just means that they would take all the money they made already and not be responsible for their debts. Is this one helluva country we live in or what?

You're right OS. I was employed by one of the agencies, retired just prior to 9/11, and warrantless wiretaps were very much a topic of discussion and on the table.
