He said he peaked his head in more and looked to the right and that's when some big black dude pointed what appeared to be a gun at him. At that point, he immediately took off across the street running and yelling,"call the police, I'm being robbed!" He said he ran to a few houses to try to get them go call the police and yelling and screaming- mind you, this is about 1 in the morning!
He said that as he looked across the street, he saw 2 black dude running out of the house and towards the back in the darkness. Finally he indicated that a young man was kind enough to bring him a phone and he called 911 but while on the phone with 911, the cruisers came driving up- about 4 of them.
Now let me say this about LEO. As for my friend should have known better, well pal let me tell you something, some situations can look pretty normal up to a point; if not this one per se, yet there's another one. I tend to keep my play time in the daylight hours, partly because of situations like this. Day time is no guarantee for safety, but it helps. This is why I disagree with corporations using criminal background checks to discriminate against people who have had past legal issues. I don't think your past should always be held against you esp if you have shown yourself to be rehabilitated. I mean, these guys, in order to become secret service agents, had to have squeaky clean criminal records! But I have come to this conclusion, its not that they were so squeaky clean, its just that they never got caught before- until now!
